For that you need recovery disk.
Put that disk in cd/dvd rom.
Then when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or "del" key to enter in bios.
Then go to boot option then set first boot device as your cd/dvd rom then save settings and exit.
Then it boot with that recovery disk then follow the procedure and choose "R" for recovery console then type in prompt "chkdsk /r"
then press "y
then it fix error on harddisk.
Then check if still same blue screen then you have to repair your windows. For again boot with disk then repair your old windows.
Let me know if you need more assistance.
Thanks.

I keep getting this stop error after Windows loads?!

Seriously, contact Toshiba Tech Support. Give them the information you put up here. If you need to you can use a PC in the local library, or a friend's PC, to contact them. Or, just call them on the phone.

Have you tried going into Safe Mode?

I have a Toshiba L300, when ever i connect the Adapter Chager, the laptop freezes and it give me a blue screen background (not BSOD). The laptop' working fine when it's running on battery powe

It sounds as if you need a new charger. Try removing the battery and start the machine with just the charger. If that works then it may be a new battery you need. Some toshiba notebooks have a 'power saver tool' preinstalled, which is used to monitor battery performance. You can download a copy here:
http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU
Not sure if it will be compatible with your machine, but maybe worth a try as it could be a corrupt program causing the problem.

Hi i have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 i have reformatted the hard drive and am trying to instal windows xp Professional Genuine CD. I can access bios utility no problem and i start install for winxp it...

This because you dont have AHCI drivers required for Win XP and you set in BIOS either sata controller or ide controller to an AHCI. You must set to native IDE or anything else like that.
If you wish set an AHCI driver you must press F6 during starting windows XP setup. And put the drivers (get it here) to floppy disk, it will prompted to install required drivers..
Another way to install driver without floppy disk you must inject the driver to windows XP installation CD...

P.S : you cant put the drivers onto floppy, because it wont be read by Windows XP setup..

Cannot start my start laptop its as soon as I put the password blue screen appears crash dump cannot start

Would be nice to know error code on the blue screen. That is pointing on the problem-and solution.Anyway, you can try system restore. On boot, computer shows start-up options, and among them is "System Restore".Hit that button and try to restore OS in earlier point of time.Or try Safe mode.Run-msconfig-enter-system restore. To be honest, from my bad experience, blue screen on boot is almost always connected to dying hard drive. Good luck, and keep us posted.

I updated my toshiba l300 pslgbe's bios from the 1.80 to the 2.2, now everytime i turn my laptop on, it shows a blue screen with an error. my laptop is now completely useless

AS YOU ON THE SYSTEM AND EVEN BEFORE WINDOWS STARTS KEEP PRESSING THE F8 KEY CONTINUEOUSLY. A MENU WILL APPEAR. SELECT SAFE MODE AND ENTER. WINDOWS WILL LOAD IN SAFE MODE. THIS WILL SOLVE SOME OF YOUR PROBLEMS. NOW RESTART THE SYSTEM IN NORMAL MODE.

IF THIS DOES NOT WORK SELECT "LOAD WINDOWS WITH LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION " AND THEN RESTART. THIS WILL SURELY SORT OUT YOUR PROBLEM.

PLS REPLY OR COMMENT. THANKS

I have a toshiba Satellite laptop that all of the sudden has started shutting down on me when I am in the middle of something. What could it be?

Depends. When you say it shuts down, do you mean it flashes blue and then shuts off / restarts, or just plain shuts off, and stays off?
If it is flashing blue real fast, then shutting off, here's what you do:
While starting the computer, press F8 as soon as the brand logo goes away, and keep pressing until you get a screen that says Safe Mode on it. Then highlight the Disable Automatic Shutdown option, and hit enter. Use the computer until you get the blue screen. It will give you an error message, followed by a stop code. (0x0000ce or something like that). Get that error code, and bring it back here. I'll tell you what it means.

If it is simply turning off without warning, and stays off, most likely it is overheating. In which case, head to Wal-Mart, go to the computer section where the keyboards are, and pick up a can of compressed air. Blow out the computer right where you see the vent on the side (maybe on back), and try that. If that doesn't work, get a laptop cooling pad and use that. If it still doesn't work, then the heatsink for the CPU needs to be recompounded, in which case take it to a shop. Unless that is you ABSOLUTELY know what you are doing and can do it yourself. IF YOU HAVE NOT TAKEN A LAPTOP APART BEFORE DO NOT ATTEMPT IT WITHOUT A PROFESSIONAL, YOU WILL BREAK IT.

Let me know how it goes, and i'll try to help you further if need be.
