I have placed a micro SD card in my LG shine hoping to add music files. However it acknowledges that there is a memory card in, but will not let me access it or save to it. It mentions formatting the memory. Will this help? or will it just clear what is on it? (nothing because i've only just put it in). Please help girlfiends phone & she is doing my head in!
I just got a new LG shine CU720 to format the card you go to settings, reset settings, master clear, memory card, my security code was 0000. Hope this helps someone else looking.
You must format the memory card in your phone. follow the instructions. It wont damage your card, you have to format it for it to be recognised by your phone. but any info on the card if it was used previously will be lost.
Yes, firstly you have to format your card as said above. Do this by going into settings, memory status, external memory, format, code is 0000, press ok. It should say complete, it is now formated.
To put songs on - first download your song or receive by bluetooth etc. They will automatically save to your phones memory so now you must send to your external memory. go into "my stuff", sounds, click on song, options, file, move to, external memory. Do not go into settings or multimedia as you cannot change them in here.

You need to go to settings and format you micro sd card. When the card has been completed, connect you usb cable to your phone. This will access the Micro SD card. In you computer go ahead and go to start, then press on "my computer", and then select the Micro sd card. you need to make sure you save all the song on the specefied folder or else it will not work. there is folder for video, audio, and images. Hope it works for you. it worked for me. Good luck.
Well what happend to me was i put in my new 2GB micro SD card in and everytime i tryed to send anything to my phone it send memory full...... you have a folder called (external memory) go onto the song and click on options then go to file and 1 of them will say move to external memory click on tht and it will send it to ur memory card!.... so then wen you click on external memory you get your song on there!
You need to place all of the Music into appropriate folders, ie called what they are on the phone, ie if it says Music on the menu in your phone, Create a folder with the same name, and place files in there.

Pin might be last 4 digits of ur phone number, im kinda having this problem, it formats fine but anytime i pop it in my computer, even if i dont do anything, just look at stuff even, put it back in phone, seems its currupt, says 0kb and shows nothing saved , pop back in comp and its all there
You'll need to format the phone on the PC and then re-format it on the phone to make it work on the phone... then for the unlock code you should try anything that she may have set even by accident.... if its not correct and you get locked out: call your service company (i.e. sprint tmobile, altell.) they can provide you with a code or they might be able to get you a whole new phone... tmobile has done both for me…. please rate my solution :) thanks

Your password is usally the last 4 digits of your phone number
Go to memory in settings, then sd. then click center button, it says format?? say yes... now put in com. it will have seperate folders, put music in my music folder
How do you format the memory card? I have saved photos on my SD memory card, when I insert it into the phone nothing happens, when I insert it into the computer it does not ask to be formatted either!

brill thanks, my next problem from that is that it is asking for a password. i have tried 0000 & 1111 and it will not accept either. I am worried 3rd time will be locked out. Any ideas??
im having a problem with the memory on my phone. I bought a memory card for my phone. iv got photos and about 12 songs saved to the phones origional memory before it was full so i bought a memory card. It is still accepting photos onto the phone memory, however i cannot fit any music on. The memory card will not work. when i try to bluetooth or put music on via comp it says the momory is full. there is nothing yet saved to the momory card! iv formated the card and put the pincode in it says it is complete but the same problem it wont accept anything else onto my phone.
iv run out of ideas.please help.

My LG Shine recognizes that there is a micro SD card in, and that it has music files on it, but it won't let me do anything with the files. I tried to set one as my ringtone but there are no options for that. Is it the wrong file type or do I just have a bad SD/phone?
