Water dispenser on the door working, Ice maker working and accumulating ice cubes in the ice bin. But ice cubes is not dispensing thru the door. I've unplugged the refrigerator to defrost overnight. Then took out and empty the ice bin and washed it to melt any stucked ice cubes. After defrosting the refrigerator overnight, I manually turned the electrical mechanism inside the fridg which turns the auger inside the ice bin. It turned freelly 360 degrees left and right. Then I replugged the refirgerator, and manually depressed the light switch and hand pressed the ice dispenser on the door,...nothing happened! Then I placed a small flat object on top of the ice bin augur, closed the door and again depressed the ice cube dispenser on the door;...flat object did not fall off the auger. Can anyone help? Or do I have to replace the electrical mechanism which turns the ice bin augur.
We will need to check the voltage at the auger motor while depressing the dispense switch. If all the other features work on the dispenser panel while I would consider checking the voltage going to the motor. Some auger motors are in areas where water causes the voltage to be shorted by constant moisture. We will need to remove the panel and simulate what you have done on the outside but this time we need to see if the voltage has been altered or if the auger motor itself is defective. Sea Breeze

It isn't supposed to free wheel and the only solution that I know of is tumbler replacement. I have the same issue and am currently hunting replacement parts.
SOURCE: LG ice maker only making two ice cubes at a time
Colenoid in the ice dispenser may be clogged or have a small amount of trash in it. Is there a filter on before the fridge (just after the ice maker shutoff)?

In photo below you can see the heating element that comes on moments before the ice maker drops the ice. If not working then the icemaker will struggle to unload. You need to unplug the refrigerator and then unpluge the ice maker and remove it to test these parts. Test with a multi meter or ohm meter. Test the 2 connections next to the number #26. Hope this helps, Sea Breeze

Hi: First off make sure the fridge is level. Is It too high in front? Making the rear of the icemaker overflow and jam? Also make sure the freezer section is a zero degrees, not just frozen. Ice cream should be rock hard. I hope this helps you avoid calling service. Thank You, Jeff
