Try connecting it some other computers.
If it does not work at all, spend $8 to replace it.
If it does work, then it's either the "hardware" on your computer, or the Vista "software" (wrong/missing USB device-drivers).
Is your memory card is recognize by windows or you didn't see it on windows explorer!
if you dont see it on explorer it could be solve by a service pack!
and if you see it on windows explorer but can't copy anything the card may be locked with the little tab on the side of the card!!
No problem at all. As long as the phone recognizes the memory card, you can transfer the pics from it. What you do is - connect the phone to the PC as a Mass Storage Device through a data cable using the USB port. It will appear in My Computer as an additional drive which can be used as any other drive in the HDD. Copy, paste, delete, whatever.
However, remember that after the file transfer you must first stop using the card from an icon in the system tray and only when it tell you that it is safe to remove the card, then only detach it from the PC. Else there are chances of you card getting damaged.
The 4gb card may be larger than the maximum card size that the phone can read. The maximum may be 1 or 2gb. If its over the maximum size supported the phone wont be able to recognise it
The newer large capacity cards in cameras designed for smaller capacity cards seem to have trouble interfacing with our computers. The best best is to get a high speed firewire memory card reader and attach it directly to your computer. This should allow your computer to recognize your card and also allow you quicker downloads.
Only the Sprint version of this phone supports memory cards over 1 Gigabyte. Sorry. But if you have a Sprint phone comment back to me using the comment box below. Thanks.
If you don't have a Sprint phone you need to acquire a 1GB card and use that. Hold on to your 2GB card as it will be usable when you upgrade at the end of your contract period.
