I would plug a MAC compatible keyboard into a USB socket.
Download the latest OS version.
If that does not cure it, send it to a MAC authorised repairer for a new keyboard.

With the computer turned on and waiting for your password. Disconnect your keyboard and put in it into another usb slot. Wait a couple of minutes and then try it. Windows should recognise it as a new keyboard and install it.

Macbook laptop internal keyboard and mouse entirely not functioning. But computer itself is fine as i am typing on a usb keyboard

Did the keyboard get wet by any chance? You'll have to replace the palm rest. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to Macbook Repair. If you want to do it yourself, here is an Macbook Repair Guide that shows how to repair a Macbook.

Keyboard on my MacBook laptop works intermittently. I re-installed OS X but that didn't fix it. Do I need to replace the keyboard?

It's possible you just have a loose cable.
Find any USB keyboard. Plug it into a USB port on your MacBook and use it. If you can use this keyboard and it doesn't fail intermittently, it's a hardware problem in your on-board keyboard or cable, not a software problem.

If it's a hardware problem, you're going to need to find someone who can open up your laptop and fix it, especially if it's under warranty.

Letter O Only WOrks with the Shift key

Boot from the install DVD. Go into Utilities. Go into Reset Password. Don't reset any passwords, just get into one of the screens where it lets you type things into a field. If the lower-case o doesn't work here, you have a keyboard hardware problem If it does:
Reboot normally, go into System Preferences / Accounts, and define a new temporary user account. Log out and log in as that user. See if the lower-case O works. If it does, you likely have a bad setting for keyboard type in System Preferences / International in your main user account.

My windows Xp on mac wont run

Hi there,

Try getting the latest version of bootcamp again, and making sure you create the driver cd it asks you to create during the install.

This part is critical as it installs the software needed for your keyboard and mouse to be recognised by windows xp.

Hope this help.

Nathan.

Keyboard

what is the connection type of your keyboard? is it PS/2 or USB?

well, if your keyboard is a PS/2 type, there might be a problem with the PS/2 keyboard port, because you've said that it works well with your other PC.

if your using a USB type of keyboard, well try to check if your SYSTEM BIOS supports USB Keyboards. because there are some PC doesnt supports USB keyboard on its BIOS. if it supports, well, enable the USB Devices on your BIOS settings to ON.
