I can't turn off cc on my sony bravia tv Have a remote and

Sorry, you need to get a replacement remote, or a universal remote with a menu button. Also, one of your other remotes (DVD or VCR etc) may be universal and be programable (see the manual for it) to your TV.

Remove close caption
The CC (closed caption) option is usually set (on or off) from your TV's menu screen. From your remote (or TV), select the Menu, then look for Settings, and when you see CC .... you can turn it off. If you provide the TV model, more specific instructions can be provided.

HELP! Dog stepped on remote and now volume on Sony KP53S65 won't work.
test this steps and fix it. God bless you
  1. Check if the TV and Amplifier (if connected) is turned on and set correctly.
  2. Check if the TV, DVD player and Amplifier are connected properly.
  3. Make sure the TV, DVD player and Amplifier volume are not set to Mute.
  4. There will be no sound output during Reverse Play / Pause / Step / Slow / Search.
  5. If the DTS soundtrack is enabled in the DVD Disc Menu, but you are using Stereo Analog audio, the sound will not work. Try switching the soundtrack to Dolby 5.1 or PCM mode in the Disc Menu.

I can't get the closed captioning to go off. please help. i have the remote, but it is not an option from the menu.
U have a CC button on the remote.Use that CC button turn all CC1,CC2,CC3 off.U will have no more captioning.Or go to the menu turn all caption CC off and all TXT off too.

Get Direct TV Remote to TOTALLY work with Magnavox TV
My TV remote has a slide-switch at the side to switch between the TV, DVD or VCR. I don't know if yours has one, if so, switch it to TV. It also has a button to switch between Analogue, Digital and External, so make sure if you have a button like this that it's switched to the right input.
