Mastercraft 1/2'' hammer drill not working

The link above is for the manual. There is a phone number at the bottom of some of the pages for technical assistance. Harbor Freight tools are sometimes difficult to get parts for. Either that or you can take the drill to a small tools repair shop and see if they can match the brushes up.

Carbon brushes by a hammer drill is in most cases acomplete service job , because of the working hours that is have it behind but a consumables kit and lubrication can doing wonders.
If rotating hammer it should not and it will not take too long before it must replaced before it started damage in a short time.

Go back to the vendor and ask for it OR look it up on the web and usually you can download one there

part ordernumber = WEY6432L1008 pos 26 you may have to order that MOTOR because there are no individual brushes to buy to replace is not possible ,, this motor has hammer brushes inside a complete closed motor. .

Did you check the carbon brushes?

Cdn Tire doesn't support their own "house" brand with spare parts.
Does anyone know who was contracted by Cdn Tire to make this unit? That could give me an alternate source for spares. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Bob ------------------------------------------------------------------ Canadian Tire stopped supporting this product in 2008 and have no parts in inventory ( I am not convinced they ever had a stock of parts) The Spin Saw was manufactured in China by Choon Nang Electric. Your best bet is going to a small engine repair shop and ask if they have universal parts which could fit. Best of luck Claude

Check the motor brushes for breakage, badly worn, or weak springs (heat damage). Keep track of brush wear pattern when removing and reinstall in the same orientation.
