Hi,
First of all if it will let you press F2 and see if you can reset the BIOS to default configurations. Hit F10, save the changes and exit the BIOS.
The computer will restart and hopefully boot to the operating system boot screen.
If it's still freezing on post then remove the battery and the AC power supply. Turn the laptop over and locate the RAM (memory) cover and remove the holding screw.
Take out the system memory and clean the brass contacts, also clean the slots that the memory sits in.
Re-seat the memory making sure it clips into place nice and tight and replace the RAM cover.
Return power to the laptop and turn it on to see if that has helped.
