Re: I have a Whirlpool coin operated top load washing
I hate this
try insert another coin
if not you will have to run a wire through and a frictioned and magnetised coin might help
if you can you will have to dismantle this part in trying to release it

i would take hoses off washer and check screens infill valves first.valve may have a thermister in it to control water temp this may be bad.may have to call a tech.
I take it that you mean that there is monetary coin or coins stuck between the Wash Bowl and the Spin Bowl. If the diameter of the coinage is greater than the Wash Bowl outlet, the coins will never find their way to the emptying pump of the machine, and will continue to rattle around inside. However any of the coins can enter the Wash Bowl outlet this could result in the water pump becoming jammed or damaged requiring replacement. I have solved this problem by removing the top of the machine (HOB) above the washbowl then completely removing the shroud over the Wash Bowl...then replacing the top of the machine firmly. By then turning the machine upside down, the coins will drop out and can be retrieved. Finish the job by returning the machine to the upright position.
unplug the machine, open the top of the coin op i use a stubby 5/16 nut driver, you have to remove the rod and it's a 5/16 inch rod, turn it counter clockwise to remove, this rod holds the unit in place, when you have the rod out then you can grab the front where you put the money in and lift it up and out,it sits in a couple of slotted holes
weight slot should be adjustable. Acts like a lock tumbler. Not enough pins move and the lock will not open. Reduce the number of pins and the lock will open sooner.
maybe when you were moving it, one or more of the springs that keep the drum centered came off, unhook everything, drain it,tip it over face down on a piece of clean carpet, make sure everything is in order, all supports are in place, 2 people to tip it
you need to take the coin slot apart take pictures as you go to put back together the parts to change amount are hidden inside it in hidden compartment if they wheren't removed by some one. your machine didn't come with the coin mech so if you don't have the parts you will need to take it with you to the parts house to get right parts. open the top of the coin mech box there are 2 long rod screws holding it in place usually 5/16 inch wrench fits may need to wiggle the heck out of it to get it out
I had a coin washer and dryer. The slider has little fingers(metal)that slide over the coins. If the coin isn't placed and the slider is pushed hard will jam. Mine had a side cover with a lock. Open that and there is a long rod that has to be unscrewed to remove the lock box, then you should is what went wrong.Hope this helps>
