Need replacement chain for remington 14inch, EL-1 and remington LNT Limb N' Trim 8. Could you provide me with current replacement chain information for both?

Hi jvaltha,

Here is a website that carries the chain for your EL-1 saw: http://shoppingcart.msservicecompany.com/default.aspx?ext=true&itemid=091374S&size=small The part number is a replacement for the original chain, which Remington must not offer any more.

That same site also carries a chain for your LNT 8 saw, but there are different subcategores, LNT1, LNT2, and 8A and B. I'll paste the address for the page where you have to choose your option: http://www.desaparts.com/remington-chainsaw.html

FYI, You don't need to buy a remington chain to fit your saws. Just buy a chain that is the right length and matches the rest of the specs on your chain, the pitch etc. .050,.025, and so many teeth per inch and so forth. Then you can buy locally.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up...keeps me working. Thanks,

Handie Andie

Plastic cog stripped remington

You provided no model number; you need it to find parts on the breakdown here:
Remington.com
http://shoppingcart.msservicecompany.com/Default.aspx
  • Type "YourModelNumber" into the "Search for your unit by Model:" window, then click search.
  • Click the “YourModelNumber” - Remington Electric Chain Saw "View Model" link.
  • Click “View Owners Manual” or "View Illustrated Parts Diagram" link.
  • Type "YourPartNumber" into the “Search for your parts by Part #:” window, then click search.

If it returns NLA try a part number search here, sometimes they still have the part.

I need the armature for a Remington LNT-2, 10 inch chainsaw.

They are no longer in production and replacement parts are mostly depleted. I went here:
Remington.com
http://www.desaparts.com/index.htm
  • Type "YourModelNo" into the "Model #:" window, then click search.
  • Click the YourModelNo - Remington Electric Chain Saw "View Model" link.
  • Click “View Owners Manual” or "View Illustrated Parts Breakdown" link
Did the above (LNT-2) and found part number 107481-01 (for 10 and 12"), status BO with no delivery date.
Opened service note part number 113616-01 NLA
An Internet search for "Remington PartNumber(both)" also netted no parts.

I am sorry you are disappointed in RemingtonPower. Please do not punish me for their short coming. I provided a very good answer just not what you hoped to hear. Sorry

Need chain oil resevoir for Remington electric

I suspect you did an on line search, we can do no better. Remington has ceased production. Parts availability is limited to what is on hand. It might be advisable to save the money you would expend for parts and put it toward the purchase of a new electric saw.
Poulan has been in business a very long time and offers 8 different models. Some can be found at Lowes. HTH

Sooner or later you will encounter a part that isn't available for your Remington. Yours may be worth more as parts than as a complete assembly. eBay?

I had to reconnect wires inside my Remington Limb n' Trim 8. It's all back together but I can't seem to get the bar and chain aligned to work smoothly. Is there a diagram showing the parts as they should...

There are a few Remington parts lists here:
http://www.desaparts.com/remington-chainsaw.html
The detail isn't great and pole saws show chainsaw parts lists. If you can't find your model I'd suggest you contact them. There is a home button at the bottom of the page with a 1-800 number. HTH
Lou
If you call them please point out the polesaw glitch.
