My Maytag Neptune washer stopped in mid cycle because of a power outage. Now it will not complete a full cycle. When I open the door, there is a pool of water in the tank. I have unplugged it, started it all over, try all the different settings but can't fix it. Please advise. THANKS!

I have a Maytag neptune mah8700aww
With mine the large grey rubber seal that seals at door slipped off! When this happens if you do not put back on correctly it will leak or even poor out the front center bottom of the door! My husband fixed it. But it still leaked really bad! I just took a couple of min. to refit the seal and it does not leak at all now! maybe your seal is not placed around the edge correctly! as it is easy to place it wrong! good luck!! keep my email address if I was helpfull!! The comment posted 14 may 2009 it what helped me. DO NOT PRY OPEN the door. Find the release cord inside the soap dispenser,,,you may have to remove the 4 screws and lift it from the washer like i did. I had to lean into the door and pull the cord to release the lock. It was not a system error. The washer was over loaded and although the door was closed and locked...the load pushed the door enough to indicate that it was open and would not wash. After opening the door, rearranging the load and removing some, the door closed and latched locked and was able to continue with the wash. DO NOT PRY OPEN,,,use the cord release first,,,this worked for me.

Try these steps:

1.) Take the washer outside. 2.) Loosen the two screws on the back panel and remove the back panel. The pump sits on the left-side of the opening. There's a black water hose with a metal clamp; 3.) squeeze the metal clamp with your fingers until it's loose enough to slide away from the pump. 4.) Separate the hose from pump and the trapped water will pour out and the door will then open; and 5.) clear any blockage from the drain hose and the pump.

Is your door lock light on when machine is in use? I am having the same issue as you and I believe it is because my door is not locking during use.
