Could be a dry soldered joint - not unusual in complex electronics but randomly heating lots of joints can cause trouble so it is best to discover the fault first, if possible.
Obtain a service manual and trace the power path with a suitable multimeter.

SOURCE: Pioneer VSX-D411 receiver "Amp Error" message

Hello,
Unfortunatelly your receiver has failed. The front panel is telling you one of the power modules is probably bad. Not an DIY type of repair. These parts are near $40.00, plus cost of replacing.
Look at options to replace your trusted receiver with a new one.
Good luck

Its because the pioneer does not display menu options through hdmi. You have to hook up basic yellow composite to monitor out.

Speakers on my Pioneer VSX-D466S receiver are not working. Is there an internal fuse that may be blown?

some recievers have a monitor button on them. if it gets pushed your sound wont work. look at the display and see if you see the work monitor. if so you should have a monitor button either on the reciever or the remote. it is a toggle button so just push it till it goes away and sound comes back on. make sure to turn sound back down before pushing this button as you might have turned the volume way up trying to hear it. my wife accidentally pushed it last week and she thougt is was broken untill i got home and simply pushed the button.
