Hello...the first thing I would check is the motor control board located inside the unit at the bottom, left side. This thing is the bane of your existence(lol) for these washers...they are notorious for having parts literally exploding off the boards.(This board handles all the heavy duty current that drives the main motor). Nine times out of ten the MCU, as it's known, is the culprit. This board usually runs around 250.00 give or take some depending on where you purchase it. When I service customers, I unplug the unit FIRST, then, remove the bottom front cover, then completely remove the MCU. Next, I actually carefully remove the MCU board from the plastic holder it's mounted in and inspect it. I look for burn or scorch marks indicating a short or small blast! More often than not, I find one or more parts blown off the board! There are tests you can perform(if no burn or scorching is found) if you have the tech sheet handy(that's the paper pamphlet inside the plastic envelope stuck to the inside of the front, bottom cover.) I hope I've helped you.

An F1 is almost always a defective main control board. Could try unplugging the unit for a few minutes and see if it will reset. The part # for the board is W10110072. Sears sells it for $119.46 http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getSubComp.pd?modelNumber=WFW8300SW01&productCategoryId=0153200&brandId=1198&modelName=RESIDENTIAL-WASHER&diagramPageId=00003&componentDescription=CONTROL%20PANEL%20PARTS&documentId=W0607261&backToLink=Return%20to%20Sub%20Components%20list.

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

This symptom characterizes a problem with a faulty motor control unit (MCU). It has been found that a fault in the MCU can lead to erratic operation of the machine with or without error codes being flashed. It can be verified by isolating the MCU, that is disconnecting it from the central control unit (CCU). If the machine seems to work fine with the MCU disconnected except motor powered functions, the MCU is indeed the problem and the only viable solution is replacing it.
Unplug the machine or disconnect power then remove the three screws from the rear of the machine top cover. Pull back on the cover and release the tabs in the console from the slots in the cover then lift the cover off the unit.
Locate the CCU then disconnect the MCU harnesses marked MS2 and MI3.
Reconnect power then start the machine. Replace the MCU if the machine seems to work fine except motor powered functions. Otherwise, let us know for further advice.
