Hallo! You better make a bootable USB with Windows and try to reinstall the system from it. You may have dome damaged files in the recovery partition. The bad part is that you would search some drivers for your mini after reinstall. Cheers!

Reset hp amd to factory settings

Hello,

The particular error code (1009) is a generic error code for 'interrupted' for system recovery. Meaning, somehow, the recovery process was interrupted. For most HP machines this can be a simple as a few keys being pressed on the keyboard, a power interruption, bad disc, faulty hard drive, or some other form of read error during the process.

Unfortunately, the error code isn't specific enough to give you the best possible troubleshooting information, but I shall try to help as much as I can.

If you can provide the exact HP model number, I can provide a more specific solution for you; but, if you have a Desktop or Notebook computer that uses F11 (on start-up) to enter into system recovery, then you can do the following:

  1. Click Next when Welcome to Recovery Manager displays.
  2. Select No and then click Next when Microsoft System Restore displays.
  3. Select Yes and then click Next when System Recovery displays.
  4. Select the appropriate item (backup file or not) and then click Next when Recover your computer to original factory condition displays.
  5. Allow the system recovery process to complete.
NOTE: The PC will appear to FREEZE for several minutes (it can take quite a while depending on the Operating System you are installing), so do not turn off the power to your machine. If the machine stays frozen for longer than several hours, then chances are the hard drive is having issues, or the recovery image cannot be recovered.

If you have tried the above steps, and you are still failing with Error 1009, it usually points to a failure with the recovery medium (image on a CD, or image on the hard drive), or that the hard drive it is restoring too is having a write/read error. This can be worked around if you have a USB recovery media you can use.

If you have access to another computer, you can create a recovery key on a USB stick to boot your HP computer from, and then kick off the recovery process that way.

Those options, however, shouldn't be taken unless you have tried the above solutions first.

Regards,

Phillip

Dvd error code 10

Cause of the Code 10 Error A Code 10 error is generated when Device Manager can't start the hardware device, a situation usually caused by outdated or corrupted drivers.

Did you install a device or make a change in Device Manager just before the Code 10 error appeared? If so, it's very possible that the change you made caused the Code 10 error.

Undo the change if you can, restart your PC, and then check again for the Code 10 error.

The safest thing to do is to perform system restore or
run SYSTEM RECOVERY.

If you will use sysem recovery it fix all the problem of your computer however all files on your hardrive and softwares that you installed will gone.
It will be back from original manufacturer settings just like the same thing you got your computer.

Dv6000 when doing F11 factory recovery it prompt error "code 1002"

Hi,

I think you can try this step. Remove the Battery and Unplug the AC power, press and hold the power button for 1 minute without any power supply, after a minute put it all back in, try to load to recovery manager if happens that its still not loading, it means the Recovery Manager Partition is already corrupted and you need to order RCD from HP.

Hope it help. =)

Wont restore OS from restore disk

Perform recovery using HP recovery manager.i.e. Press F11 during boot up and it will take you to the HP recovery manager.

HP and Compaq Notebook PCs are configured with a recovery manager or recovery media that enables you to repair or reinstall the original operating system. Depending on the model of the notebook PC, there may be a recovery CD or DVD included, or your model may have the Recovery Manager tool to create a personal recovery disc. You can also order a replacement recovery disc from HP.

Also check the below for the error occurs while performing the recovery/restore.

Windows vista installation

If you purchased it new, you can probably get a recovery disk from HP.  HP usually puts a recovery partition on one part of the disk, but if your utility program wiped that out, then you will need help from HP directly.
You can try HP's website by starting here: http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom&lang=en&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_pagetype=s-001&h_query=pavilion+dv6000&submit=Go+%BB

The following discusses ordering a recovery disk: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00810334&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=1842155&rule=21883&lang=en

If the recovery parition is still intact, you might be able to recover based on this link: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&rule=21883&product=1842155&docname=c00809678#RecoverOS

Restore the PC to its original condition with the HP Recovery Manager if Windows Vista is not accessible If the PC cannot launch into Windows, it may still be possible to use the HP Recovery Manager on the hard drive to restore the computer to its original operating condition by first pressing the Power button to start the PC, and then pressing the F11 key to start the HP Recovery Manager. NOTE: Depending on the BIOS version, your computer may display multiple prompts during startup including F11 to start System Recovery. Pressing the F11 key on a computer with an HP factory image will start System Recovery even if the prompt is not displayed.
  • If the HP Recovery Manager can access the hard drive, a prompt is displayed to backup the user files before beginning the recovery. Follow any on-screen instructions.
  • If the HP Recovery Manager cannot access the hard drive to fix any system errors, use the set of recovery discs to recover the hard drive to its original condition.
