SOURCE: Sony CD Walkman-(portable Radio -CD player)Very low sound output.

Problem solved by trying another set of headphones.

Why won't my onn cd player work?

You can try a CD Optic Cleaning Disc from Amazon or Walmart. It has small brushes that clean the tracking optic. That is if you can hear the CD turning. Onn is Walmart's bargain basement brand made in China. They are made at the lowest price point for maximum profit. Failing with 3 years use is pretty bad, especially with the radio going out as well!.
