I think LG SHINE is a PIECE OF ****. I suggest You return it or Smash it. =]
SOURCE: scroll on laptop ''mouse section'' doesn't work.
No, your touch pad is perfectly fine. The scroll function is controlled by software. A driver may have gotten erased. This is usually no big deal. You can download the driver off the internet. Where it is, I don't exactly know. Post again with the model of the compter and ask for someone who can tell you where to get the driver.

I had this same problem and unplugged the TV from the a power strip and plugged it directly into the wall... problem solved.
I read elsewhere that this is called a "ground loop."

Have the same problem,
Possible Causes
Graphics Card Dead (REALLY BAD)
Just need a HARD REBOOT.
If it is your graphics card, then go find another laptop, Acer embeds them to the motherboard.
Try Hard Reboot first though,
1. Disconnect AC and Battery.
2. Press and Hold POWER for 30-45 seconds.
3. Reconnect AC.
4. Try to boot up.
5. After bootup insert battery.
If your laptop is still under warranty the Motherboard should be covered. I wish you luck as losing a computer is tough.
SOURCE: Sony ke42m1 plasma 1-1/2 black line
hi all .ive had the same problem,a thick black line down screen.sometimes it flickers from top to bottom and other permantly in view.but i have solved it.forget your ic boards and taking apart tv.have you got either a ps3 or wii connected to tv.if so unplug power lead from socket and relocate in seperate socket.make sure the lead is completely free of any other leads and you might just find this works.i think the power lead creates some sort of frequency that the tv picks up .good luck hope it works
