SOURCE: wiring schmatic for kenmore canistar vacuum

Generally, there are two wires inside the unit which connect to the wiring going down the suction hose.  Since the unit is a/c...it doesn't matter which of them goes to which terminal.  The wires are switched in some cases.  Look for the open terminal.

We were given a HOT POINT Heavy Duty Dryer with Automatic Dry Control, Model DLB2650BRLWH, Serial No. DG241274H and had to buy the power cord to go with it. Ordered the cord from a local appliance company,...

Technical explanation: Older 240 Volt appliances use a three-wire power cord (Black, White, Red). The White wire is the "neutral" connection, which is tied to Ground at the service entrance panel. The Black and Red wires are opposite phases of the 240 VAC (when one goes positive, the other goes negative). The neutral wire is "in between", so measuring the voltage between the black or red wire and neutral would give you 120 VAC. The green wire is frame ground; the electrical code requires newer (since 2008) 240 VAC appliances to have a separate ground bonding connection to the frame; the neutral connection is not considered adequate protection for certain failure conditions.

Look for a screw head or terminal stud on the frame or sheet metal of the dryer labeled "Ground", "Earth", or one of the following ground symbols:
kato_tech.jpg kato_tech_0.jpg kato_tech_1.jpg

The green wire goes to this point. DO NOT connect the green wire to any of the wiring inside the dryer, unless it is a green wire attached to sheet metal or a bracket!

The black, white and red wires go to black, white and red terminals you already found.

Tryin to replace heating element. I have 3 wires. 2 black and one yellow. How do I hook them up?

The yellow wire should be the earth wire. Earth is generally yellow/green or just green. This goes onto the frame of the element. The other wires go onto the main 2 pins of the element. There is no polarity so it doesn't matter which order you put them in.

I put a new power cord on my Maytag dryer. Now it isn't heating. Could I have installed the power cord incorrectly to cause this?

You should have two hots (one black - one red)(110 VAC each = 220) plus a neutral (white)(which when coupled inside with one of the legs will give you 110 VAC for timer and light) and a ground (green) which should be connected to the frame of the machine. Is that what you have?

Spin cycle is not working

one possible problem the lid swicth might have broken but if you hear a moter noise when it trying to spin the swictch is ok you can verify
if washing machine agitates during wash cycle
if no agitation newer design has a drive coupling between moter and transmission lean machine back
you will find debries center of machine about 8 inches back usually black rubber the drive coupling
has 3 pins on each outside peice that fit into the center bushing lean machine back have second person for safety unplug machine to change drive coupling there are two clips that hold pump to top of moter remove clips slide pump off shaft remove two screws from top of pump clips unplug wiring harness
undue clips remove moter drive coupling peices can be remove by pulling or can use large flat blade and work from oposites sides till plastic parts come off
reassembly place outside parts one on transmission one on moter install center part on transmission side
line up pins from moter to line up with 3 holes in center part normally top clip i install first so gravity assist with install of bottom clip reinstall screws plug in harness line up pump with moter shaft and reinstall clips run check if no noise from moter when lid is closed then lid switch might be bad the new style of washer is front serviceable there are two screws bottom outside corners of panel remove
light pressure pull panel forward then lift is hinged at
top back roll back there are two brass clips catch front of clip with flat blade screw driver and move top of handle toward back of machine clip will pop off wiring for lid switch on top of case needs to be unplugged outside case will tilt toward you then can be lifted off alignment tabs at bottom front there are two screws where lid switch is held to top of case can be seen when case is removed good luck ron

I need wiring manual for goodman mini split.

outside unit L1 and L2 are load (input 240vac)
then you have control voltage, usually yellow and blue (24vac) this connects to some 18/2 thermostat wire which goes inside as white and red.

note: this unit may only need 24v control which is 2 wires from the inside unit and also 3 wires 2 hot 1 ground for line voltage.

STANDARD WIRING
on the inside unit you have green, white, blue and red control wires.

on your thermostat you have white, red, yellow and green

you run the wire from the outside unit to the inside unit. then run a 18/4 wire to the thermostat if wired and join the following wires.

inside unit thermostat outside unit
green------------------------green
white-------------------------white
red----------------------------red
blue-------------------------------------------------------blue
yellow--------------------yellow

Hooking up a Hot tub

Everything above tells me this is 120V unit...if thats the case a single pole breaker is sufficient. Also by what you have written, a 15 amp breaker should suffice.

Hoover F7210-900 SteamVac

Before you take it back, check the filter inside the lid of the recovery tank, if it is all of the way to the top, it will cause problems, it needs a 1/4 in. gap from the top. Might be also that the plunger in the handle is pushing all of the way down so as to release the water.
