SOURCE: slow water drip

First of all it depends on the hardness of the water. Vinegar doesn't really work in the heavy lime belt area of the midwest. It is better if you use lime away. It is an ecolab product that is great at lime removal. Use one cup per pot. Then rinse two pots worth if this is the kind of machine that uses the same water that is put in during each brew cycle. Some brewers have a reservoir. Bunnomatic is an example of that kind of brewer. If you use lime away in that kind of brewer you need to run about thirty pots to remove all the lime scale remover from the brewer. Slow brewing can also be caused by over softened water. I drove from Indy to Iowa after installing a brewer and then a day later the store put in a softener and over softened the water causing the coffee filter to clog up with sodium. Also check the sprayer disc or head where the water comes out. Over time coffee "paste" will build up around the outlet and if you don't wipe it clean or "smear" the coffee grounds around the outlet that will slow down the brewing cycle. I have thirty years as a brewer technician and it is usually one of the things I have covered, providing that the heat element isn't defective.

SOURCE: The red cleaning light on my cuisinart coffee

Hello sandra_strat,
There are two possible issues, but easy to do. When decalcifying your unit the solution should be 2 parts water and 1 part vinegar. So if you have a 12 cup maker it would be 8 cups water and 4 cups vinegar. Complete the process with a pot or two of fresh water to rinse. Second, there may be a water filter stick that is removable. Open the lid and look for it in one of the corners, pull it out and remove the carbon filter there. (You can get a new on Amazon). Then replace the stick.
I hope this is a help for you. If it is please leave positive feedback for me. Thanks! NormanZ

SOURCE: Tassimo machine leaking water underneath

I'm having the same problem with my machine. I rang the Tassimo careline and they told me to descale the machine but, so far, this has only made matters worse. I'm now going to take it back to where I got it from because it's still within its warranty.

SOURCE: every light blinks and it won't heat water

just posted this solution to another problem. there is something on the glass bar code reader up where you insert the t-disc - or the water vessel is not properly seated in the base of the coffee maker.

Check both.

How do you descale a bosch coffee maker

Run vinegar thru the coffee maker to remove hard water scale. Make sure you rinse the coffee maker well afterwards by running regular water through it so that your coffee does not taste like vinegar.

How to descall the bosh coffee machine

Empty the reservoir of water and fill it up again with vinegar. Run the vinegar through 5 or 6 times, then empty the vinegar, put distilled water in, and run it until the water is gone. Then your machine should be de-scaled.

Water won't flow thru to filter or pot. Don't know the exact model but it is a 12 cup self cleaning.

Self-cleaning is wishful thinking. Every three months or so, run a pint of vinegar through it, as if making coffee (no coffee!) then flush with two tanks of water.

Is it safe to use CLR to clean the Tassimo? The directions say not to use on coffe makers that hold water continuously.

White vinegar is usually recommended for coffee makers.. I would go with that..

Butter melted into top and down in to water container

mcdevito75 here, Try to clean your coffee maker by running a decanter full of white vinegar thru the system 2--3 times, then fesh water to rinse out the vinegar. Use a new or clean filter at the beginning of the vinegar treatment and after when you rinse with regular water.

Descaling

No, you can not use vinegar. It will dissolve scale into chunks and block the water heating circuit.
