SOURCE: Sportcraft Turbo Hockey table will not power up
The customer service is somewhat oblivious to their inventory and products they sell. But, if your table is not pushing the puck, call and order a new fan (easy swap out). Also, you may use a small pin and poke each air-hole as dust accumulates and clogs system (do not use a wax or polish, only damp soft cloth)
The control box is the interface to power scoreboard.(kids pushed the transformer cord in too hard and separated the circuitry panel inside CB). I am in process of replacing mine, model number 34090, part number 34090HG08, $5.00+ SH
There are comparable control box modules for similar turbo hockey games, Atomizer, which uses a similar control box that you can swap circuitry out to your old box. (Very simple, even a cave man can do it..hah). The key is the ability to put control box back together once you disassemble inerts. (The "flip" mechanism is so shoddy it never goes back together right)
Good luck with Sportcraft and their disposable $500-600.00 air hockey tables which have a lifespan of parts of less than 5 yrs!
SOURCE: Air hockey table keeps scoring on it's own.
This table uses low voltages for the scoring lever. I agree with fixer1950. Check / disassemble the goal / scoring assembly, and look for the scoring lever. sometimes just 2 metal plates. should see where it's touching the scoring strip and you can test it by moving it with your finger / pen / other device.
Try adjusting it further away, and test again with a puck to ensure proper operation..
SOURCE: Air flow hockey table
We made a fixture that allows us to clean the table top. We took a piece of wood larger than the fan opening, drilled a hole in it, and installed an air fitting for use with our home air compressor. WIth the fans removed, we run the compressor and hold the fixture against the bottom of the table. That forces all that air to exit out the table surface. To concentrate the flow over problem areas we cover sections of the table during the process. Also, you may need new pucks too if they are old and worn.
SOURCE: What's the size of a standard Air Hockey table?
There are many types of Air Hockeytables out there. The usual s of an Air Hockey table shifts between 76-84inch long and 44-52 inch wide, the of the surface is 4 inches less thanthe actual of the whole table.
For your own safety, keep your not playing hand off the table away
from the edge of the table. I have seen lots of beginners place their fingers
over the edge of the table only to have a puck come smash into their fingers at
25 MPH and cause unpleasant injuries damage, so be careful with that but in
general Air Hockey is considered to be a safe sport.
Air Hockey can teach you lots of
important things, it can teach you mental stamina, hand-eye coordination,
strategy, and it can also sharpen your reflexes, believe me there is much more
to this sport than just hitting a puck around the table.
