First, I'm not a Invacare representative.
* Check your warranty (18 months - 3 years)on page 63 of manual.
* Check with Invacare vendor for support.
*** Following for information only.***
* Check your fuse.
* As with most Lead Acid battery systems. Care must be taken to assure long life.
* Lead acid batteries have a cycle (recharge) about 200-500 cycles.
* Example, if you charge every day that's 1 cycle per day for 200 to 500 days. Depending on how hard you drain the batteries, charge times, and how hot it gets where you store it.
* Here in Hawaii, most car batteries last 2-3 years tops. For power chairs it's less. (I suspect it's due to having lots of hills.)
* You will need to check the status (Health) of your batteries. (Take it to the shop to test. Battery shops can test it too.)

It sounds like the batteries have gone bad and need to be replaced. Check your fuses as well.
The batteries contain a gel that needs to have current run through it on
a regular basis (at least 8 hours once a week) or it will solidify. If
you attach the charger, what will most likely happen is the green light
will either stay green or go to green after a very short time. When you
turn on the power chair, nothing happens. The charger will indicate the
batteries are full, but instead of being full of pwer, they are full of
crud. Your warranty will most likely not cover replacment as this is
due to customer neglect, but your insurance
may still cover the replacement if you can wait for the process to go
through. Otherwise, you will need to replace the batteries on your own,
type U1, 24v 33 amp. Good luck!
the green flashing light indicates an error with the scooter. Count the number of flashes 4 flashes pause 4 flashes pause etc and your manual should give you the meaning of the flashes Check to make sure that you are not in freewheel move the lever at the back of the scooter up and down a few times and make sure you leave it in drive mode turn on the power and see if the light stops flashing and the scooter will operate correctly Hope this helps
Hi. Sounds like the switch in the lock assembly is faulty. If you join together the two wires from the scooter to the lock assembly, this will be the same as turning on the key.This will let youknowif the lock was faulty or if there is another fault. If there is a connector on the wires then make up another connector that fits the one on the scooter, with a loop of wire to complete the circuit.You might be better off to buy a whole new lock assembly with the lead and connector already attached. If you are not confident working with electricity, then ask a local service technician to do it for you.Good luck. Neil.
