Question about Irons

Is there a label for the P-TOUCH PT-D210 that is like a fabric made for labeling clothes that does not have to be ironed on. I want to make clothing labels that are not Iron-On for my PT-D210. They need to be Self-Adehesive.

No, the P-Touch is a heat sensitive tape media printer. You can't run cloth through it. Google 'embroidered name tags'. Then you can use iron on tape to glue them down.

My handheld Conair garment steamer is heating up but not producing steam. How do I fix this?

A handheld steamer uses hot steam to relax the fibers in clothing. A jet of steam is directed at the cloth suspended on a hanger. A steam wand at the end of a hose is held a short distance from the cloth - providing a smooth look without the application of scorching heat to the clothing.Steamers are ideal for soft and delicate fabrics like silk, satin, polyester and jersey. Because a garment steamer does not actually touch clothing - there is little

Home Touch clothes Steamer! Won't turn on..

Steam is a tried and true sanitize. And unlike some abrasive cleaners, steam is both penetrating and gentle at the same time. It effectively sanitizes because it can reach high temperatures (above the boiling point of water) in pressurized atmospheres. And, by effectively re hydrating and breaking the bonds of muck and dirt, it's highly effective at spot-cleaning and deodorizing without all that rough treatment. And irons, of course, use steam to work the wrinkles out of fabrics when dryers don't cut it.

Its giving my clothes black marks

It is to hot. read the labels in your clothing, what temp you are allowed to use and dial that in on the iron. Still burn marks, bring it back, because then the thermostat s not good.

Why when I iron and move the iron back and forth, the fabric will wrinkle

Check the proper temperature to iron your specific type of cloth. Different materials require different temperatures and procedures. Read up on ironing on Google. Good Luck

When I iron a piece of clothing and move the iron forward then back the fabric will wrinkle.

Check the bottom rear of the iron to see if there is a spur sticking up like a scratch. If so use wet sandpaper to get rid of it.

The steam not only removes wrinkles, it freshens the fabrics - making them look cleaner. You can use this steamer on clothing, bedding and table linens and also to remove.

While steaming clothing, a white flaky residue is being left on the clothing. Sole plate is clean. Residue seems to be coming from steam vents. What do I do to continue using this great iron? Evelyn Roll

Are you in a hard water or soft water area, maybe you could try using filtered water in your iron. To clear out the scale from the jets try adding a little white vinegar to the water and steaming it through, or a little "Calgon" diluted in water. Then perform a test iron on some dark fabric untill the scale has been removed.

check the instruction manual and see if it says to clean the surface before using it , if not try cleaning it and use it on something old in case it wants to scorch the fabric
