For some reason, I can't find your screwdriver on the Dewalt site. They suggest calling them if you can't find an item. That info is below. That said, here is a YouTube that may be of interest. Be careful and don't burn yourself.

The bit should just pull out, but will be difficult to start because of the latching mechanism (magnet). Good luck!

Reverse and Forward Mode: Try putting the drill in reverse mode and hit the trigger, then forward mode. If that doesn't work, tap the tip on the driveway but don't slam it. It should release .

Use a Wrench: First, make sure that the chuck is in the locked position. Next, use an allen wrench to loosen the set screw on the side of the chuck. Finally, unscrew the drill bit from the chuck .

Remove Chuck Collar: Use a wrench or pliers to loosen the chuck collar and remove it from the chuck. Then, use a screwdriver or other tool to remove the chuck jaws and any other components that may be blocking access to the stuck drill bit. Once these components are removed, you should be able to access the drill bit and remove it from the chuck .

DeWalt 20 V impact. Driver ejects occasionally. Locks in correctly to start then after limited use, bit holder falls out.

These are known for the spring in the nose (#12) to fail.
Using an o-ring pick or small screwdriver remove the hog ring on the end of the bit holder (#17).
Slide the washer, spring, and sleeve off (Be careful not to lose the small lock ball)
The spring that pushes the lock ball forward (#12) is usually the culprit.

How to remove the bit from DeWalt DW272DT drywall screwdriver

If the bit is stuck in the spindle there is no easy fix I know. you just have to try to get hold of it and pull, try giving it a little twist as you do it.

I have a DCD940KX 18v Dewalt drill driver with the one click drill chuck. It does not keep drill bits or screwdriver bits from spinning. They spin with the slightest bit of pressure on them. My questions...

this is not a common problem with dewalt. I have been using them in my construction business for years and only heard of this once or twice. I would go to their web site and get the number for their customer service. They stand behind their products and im sure they will help in every way they can to repair the drill

How to change the drill bit for a Dewalt DW995

That tool comes standard with a keyless chuck so all you should have to do is grip the collar and turn it to loosen bit. If it is stuck you might try a rag of some sort on the collar and use the motor to loosen it up. Let me know if you need more help.

How to Remove Bit from Dewalt Quick Connect Adapter DW0521

Hold the chuck by its sleeve, put the drill in reverse (make sure it's set at high torque if you used it in a drill/driver) and go full speed. That should release the bit.
