So you post inverters to computers, why?
is this a UPS, I have one, in fact serviced 100s of them and models.
time delay,? elaborate that fully, and more clearly.
my wild guess is you meant if AC power in the hood fails
the load on UPS goes dead, with it.
that means the inverter failed, and that means 99% of the time the battery is no good.
lost the manual on your UPS that it? or the service manual.
there are 2 classes of UPS, full time and part time
on part time it must switch over fast , in say blink of eye fast. 0.01 sec.
on full time inverter runs FULL time and no switch delay at all.
Sine wave USP is very good,.
the batteries can fail in 1year to 5 years.
less if overloaded, and power lost vast time, (mains)
do you know how to load test any AGM battery, using a load tester.
all USP techs do, for sure any shop that lists those as supported
why ask fixya how to fix UPS< and then get in to danger.
the voltages in side are huge, and if you short the battery out boom flying red hot metal to face or acid blowing out of cracks on a battery, SAFETY FIRST DUDE,
SOURCE: Delay in Monitor display once the system goes in sleep mode
Instead of sleep mode, tyr hibernate. It is generally faster except the whole computer shuts down. When you power back up, you're exactly where you were. Mine takes about 30 seconds.
SOURCE: Heart Freedom invertor 25/12 - cannot get invertor to function
You are correct, if the unit is wired correctly, all you have to do is turn the inverter on. The unit should make a bit of noise when the inverter is turned on.
SOURCE: UPS power goes off instantly as soon the external supply stops.
In our office, I have had to replace UPS batteries AGAIN two years after I replaced the original batteries in the units. I had purchased the replacement batteries locally, so I don't know if the brand of replacement batteries was not as good as the original batteries or what. But your weak battery light is not flashing ... I would try a replacement battery (if it isn't too expensive) but I know that some of the older batteries are no longer used in the newer UPS units so if the problem wasn't the battery you are stuck with a new battery and nothing to use it for.
SOURCE: No back up power by UPS
Changing the battery in the system should fix the problem. From my experience www.batteryinternational.com was very helpful in finding the correct battery replacement. Hope that helps.
SOURCE: my ups is switching off itself immediately the
Batteries in the UPS typically last 3 to 5 years and it depends upon several factors. including the number of times the unit must go on battery power and enviromental conditions. There are usually several batteries in the UPS and while the battery voltage may show 13 volts, this may only a float voltage and a true indication of the battery voltage needs the batteries to be tested under a load. there maybe one battery that is faulty and causing the whole battery system to fail.
These lower powered and cheaper KVA type UPS are switch over types (when the mains fail, the UPS switches over to the inverter in milli-seconds to supply mains power). It is a possibility the inverter circuit is faulty and when the mains power fails the inverter does not switch over.
The true UPS type are usually the higher KVA units (over 1500 KVA units) that converts mains power continuously via the inverter circuit. The mains power charges the batteries and the inverter drawing power from continuously from the batteries (therefore there is no switch over time lag from the mains to the battery.
