SOURCE: Tv won't change channel
did you hook the tv up to the converter box or did you not add channels?
SOURCE: Philips HD tv has no picture
common fault this , normally the fuse has failed on y-main board due to shorted thick film unit
unfortunately its not a cheep repair job.
SOURCE: 42" LG Plasma tv, no picture - black screen, but have sound.
Most a likely a problem with your Y-Sustain board which will then not drive the screen giving a black picture. The fuse on the board may be open circuit & need replaced but most likely you will need to have the sustain board replaced.
SOURCE: LG 50PG25 Plasma TV, black screen sound still works.
this faint picture issue is usually caused by a bad z sustain board. it is the smaller scan board on the right side of the tv when viewed from the back. it has some large cables that energize the plasma panel, dont confuse with the y sustain which has the tiny ribbon cables that address each line of the picture.
there should be a # on the board indicating the part number, plug it into a search engine to find parts.
this could also be a low voltage or something else, check the Vs and Va voltages and confirm theyre correct with the ones listed on the sticker inside the tv. Be careful this is dangerous and you can get shocked if you not familliar. The heatsinks can be energized and shock you , exercise caution. if you order a z sus board, make sure you can return if it doesn't fix. I'd say 95% chance its a z sus
SOURCE: LG LCD tv screen went white? Still have sound and
White screen may be caused by failed T-CON board or it is not getting the 12vdc or signals from the main board. Check the fuse on the T-CON board first, T-CON board is mounted under the metal shield.
