You will need to reprogram the printer to the new router or reinstall the wifi connection from the printer to the router

SOURCE: Can't print from my mac to my canon mp980 wireless printer

Sounds like when you added xp you inadvertently installed new print driver on server.
Try rolling back driver. But may drop xp from printing.

Best solution network printer to router bypass server. Will require hard wire from printer to router. disconnect from server may need network card for printer.

SOURCE: canon mx310 won't print wirelessly from laptop.

The MX310 is not a wireless printer. I own it and have never seen that feature anywhere in the specs either. Try the MX860 (my roommate owns it and it's VERY nice).

SOURCE: Wireless Printer Setup

For installing a wireless printer on Windows XP, wireless router is an essential device.

Follow the recommended steps mentioned on the installation CD of the router, and set-up a wireless network.

Since several computers or laptops will access the printer, it0 1is recommended to connect the wireless printer to the main computer through the USB port.

To begin the installation process on Windows XP, access the network setting in the Control Panel, and activate the file and printer sharing option in the LAN setting.

This will allow the operating system to recognize the availability of a wireless printer.

Now, click the Start button, go to Devices and Printers, select Add a Printer option.

Click the second option- Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.

The computer will search for available printer and reflect it on the screen.

Click Finish; and the printer is ready to begin the printing process.

Set a static IP on the Canon printer
e.g.
IP: 192.168.x.x
Subnet mask: 255.255.x.x
Gateway: 192.168.X.1

DHCP should always be enabled on the router for your other devices to work.

Canon printer won't print wirelessly

there is always a way to fix things,

it may be the settings in the printer itself. it does need to be configured to work on the network, you will need to see if it is on the network firstly. then setup ip settings afterwards to get it going, then a re setup on the computer.

If you would like additional assistance with setting it up I am available to do it with you on TeamViewer so you can watch what I do for next time.

Dell V510 printer worked fine wirelessly until we got a new Belkin Router

The printer's IP address most likely needs to be changed.
Check the Belkin's IP address range (it maybe 192.168.2.***) and configure the printer's IP address accordingly.

Have you tried a "wired" connection to a different computer?
If the problem persists, then the printer itself is the problem.

Have you tried a "wireless" connection from a different computer?
This presumes that the wireless-configuration on the printer is correct,
and that the printer is "talking" to your wireless router.

Login to the router's web-interface, and check the status of all "wireless" connections,
to ensure that the printer has a valid wireless connection to the router.

Cycle the power
If your printer was previously printing via wireless communication but can no longer do so, it may be necessary to cycle the power on the printer and Router / Access Point to restore communication. Before doing this, verify that the computer can communicate with the Router / Access Point.

On the printer, press the On button to power off the printer. Wait about 10 seconds, then press the On button to power the printer back on.

On the Router / Access Point, if there is a power button, press it to turn off the device, then press it again to re-power after waiting for about 10 seconds.* If there is no power button, you may have to disconnect the power cord / AC adapter. Check with the device's user manual.
* Wireless communication of all devices on the wireless network will be lost while you do this.
