Sounds like you have a belt that slips under load. May need replacing.

SOURCE: load noise in final spin cycle

turn the tub on the inside if it feels ruff as it turns and makes a noise then most likely you have a bad rear bearing, if it is smooth in turning and no noise then turn to drain or spin possibly something stuck in drain pump. the drain pump will start up first if you hear the noise then the drain pump is accessed from the front lower cover, if its the rear bearing probably not worth fixing about 400.00 in parts and alot of work.

SOURCE: Front Loading Washer LOUD NOISE

IF IT ROARS LIKE A JET PLANE TAKING OFF, THE SPIN BEARING IS FAILING. PROBABLY, THE REAR SEAL HAS FAILED ALLOWING WATER TO GET INTO THE BEARING.
THE BEARING HAS LOST ITS LUBRICATION SO IT IS GETTING DRY. IT WILL CONTINUE TO GET LOUDER AND LOUDER THE LONGER REPAIRS ARE PUT OFF.
THE ENTIRE BACK HALF OF THE OUTER TUB WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE BEARING IS PART OF THAT ASSEMBLY. CAN BE A COSTLY REPAIR.

SOURCE: front load washer

  1. Turn off machine and unplug it.
  2. Open filter it and clean it.
  3. Check if in pump turbine is clogged or jammed with foreign object. On some pumps you can test if turbine it rotates free using screwdriver or a finger.
  4. Check if the drain outlet pipe is clogged.

Unless pump motor is dead I'm 99% sure that either filter, pump and/or drain pipe are clogged.

SOURCE: Walking during the spin cycle

My GE front load washer model WCVH6800JBB have the same problem. I just purchased and installed it yesterday, 05/04/09. Just like everyone said... when it got to the spinning cycle it walked to the middle of my garage and all the connections in the back of the machine fell off. My husband checked the instruction... There are 4 nut bolts in the back of the machine near the rubber leg (level). You need to take them off and try to balance your machine again. My washer is running very smooth now. Good luck!

SOURCE: my front load Electrolux washer asks me "clean

You do not need to clean a drain pump. After you have washes so many loads of clothes, soap scum builds up in your tub and will shorten the life of your product. You just need to run it thru the "clean" cycle. You can use 1/2 cup of bleach and NO detergent or you can by a tub cleaner from most grocery stores or Walmart and use that. It'll just remove any soap scum and mineral build-up off your tub. It should be done each time you washer tells you to do it. Hope this helps. :)

How to get the clothes to spin dry in Color wash mode?

Program the machine for white wash and turn down temperature and duration manually, and tune up the sentrifuge program to maximum RPM.

It helps to use a machine with large drum and minimum 1600 RPM. Large diameter of the drum is more efficient than a small diameter drum at the same RPM.

Why Electrolux front load making knocking sounds during spin cycle. Model ewf1087

Good Morning Friend,

I understand your Electrolux washer, model# EWF1087, is making knocking sounds during the spin cycle. In researching your model number, I show that your appliance was manufactured in Australia. If this were manufactured in the U.S., I would suggest making sure that the load was balanced. Balance your wash load and if you are still having trouble, I suggest contacting the manufacturer in Australia. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Electrolux front load washing machine ew10001 spin cycle slow on "SPIN" setting runs fine through regular wash setting? any ideas?

Hello jamespeattie - Does the washer making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose may be kinked or the drain in the house is clogged. Once you have confirmed and cleaned the hose and if issue continues contact a professional to move forward accurately. The unit may possibly have a faulty pump or control board.

The washer bounces during spin cycle

Front loaders don't like small loads. There's not enough clothing to settle around to balance it. Only do large loads.

One minute left

be sure water is draining out before spin starts if necessary remove bottom panel and clean pump out and ck hoses to pump be sure there are no excess suds ..wash only full loads small loads or loads with 1 heavy item will cause washer to sense off balance and try to balance load this will extend cycle time

Frigidaire FTF530FS Front Load washer

Take off the lower panel. Inspect the shocks too see if they are damaged. If they are OK turn the wash basket by hand if the knock is heard then most likely you have a broken wash basket.
