Just contact Amazon and Return it. Log into your Account, click Orders, Find that Item, click Return, it will ask why? Tell them it leaked and set on fire when you used it for the fist time!

you will need to contact the seller of the batteries and see if they will exchange them
generally if you specifically ordered the batteries and were supplied what you ordered then an exchange is the only possible way to go
to get around the problem
if you want a refund because you ordered and were supplied the batteries your ordered but they were wrong then the supplier has every right to refuse a refund
if you got them from a local shop then a kind approach may get the response you want as a good customer focused retailer may agree to a refund on the return of the items

It depends on where you bought them from. Most places ask you to pay for the return postage. Check with the place you bought them from and you will know for sure how to proceed.
