SOURCE: my liftmaster 2265 1/2 hp remote does not close

If the door starts to close and the main light flashes 10 times and the door reverses to the open position it is a problem with the door sensors. Make sure they are pointed at one another and they each have a small light that must be on and not flickering.

If it starts to close but reverses and the main light does not flash 10 times it is possibly the RPM sensor which is a small printed circuit board just in front of the motor.

SOURCE: How do I program a new Liftmaster 371LM one button

hello. The programing is the same for both gate openers and garage door openers. Basically you will push the smart button on the gate opener so that it is blinking and then push the button on the remote while it is in close proximity to the gate opener. Here are pix and diagrams for your use.

SOURCE: Hi, My electric gate RAMSET

Look for a broken or missing shear pin that connects the drive sprocket to the motor. the pieces should still be in the sprocket and motor shaft if it is a roll pin, which I would expect, and will need to be punched out with an appropriatly sized drift pin punch, It's usually easier to drive out the pieces if the sprocket is removed from the shaft so the holes don't have to be matched up. Replace the pin with one of the same size if available, a soft steel bolt and nut may be used in a pinch but should be replaced with the proper roll pin as soon as possible.

The opener may have been mounted improperly or may have slipped from it's original mounting location. You may not be able to make an adjustment because the arm is already fully extended.
You may have to re-position the gate opener.

Linear SWR-211 gate opened and got stuck when it tried to close. Tried reset and shut power off. Still stuck in half open position.

So the gate is stuck in a half open position? If you have already tried resetting it, you might just need to call in someone from the company. Some gates have an emergency retract option. You can look for that, at least it wouldn't be just half open.

if you push the open button and it closes indicates that you have the wrong polarity connected to the motor
gate motors are DC so where the positive and negative wires are connected are critical for rotation direction of the motor

DSealed Lead Acid Batteries: 12v 7ah; belongs in a Liftmaster LA400 gate control box. Can these batteries be charged using a trickle charger? I'm trying to find out if it's the battery not holding a charge...

Yes you can charge the 12 volt bttery on a trickle charger. You should use a 1 amp or less charger. Check the battery every 1/2 hour or so for heat. If it get's hot you should stop charging. Power packs that have a 12 volt rating will charge your battery safer and better but will take longer (like a cell phone charger) look at the voltage ratings on the charger. You will have to adapt the plug to hook it up and test for correct pos. and negative connections. The 7amp hour batery should be fully charged by a .5 amp (500ma) charger in about 14 hours (multiply the amps times hours of charge and do not go over the 7amp hours of the battery when deciding how long to charge). After charging check voltage, it should be around 12. Let the battery set for a few hours (overnight) and check the voltage again. It should be around 12 still. A fresh charge will usually show a higher reading (called a surface charge) than a battery sitting around. 4.5 v will not operate your device, 9.5 v or higher should.

A 12 volt battery needs about 13.5 volts to reach a full charge. It should stay at what ever voltage you bring it up to, with no load connected.
Most gate controls are solar charged and should be fine under normal circumstances.
Charge the battery with a regular 'automotive' type charger and then test it with a few cycles, open and closing gate.
Also check voltage from charger at gate...
