Some recipes are indicating you use the rack in the middle of the oven. Which rack will that be for an electric stove and is it different between an electric stove and gas stove?
Experienced cooks maintain all ovens are different and it will take a while before you and your oven will get used to each other.
A thoroughly preheated electric oven has little temperature variation especially when the heat is circulated by a fan, in fact some ovens have a heating element at the bottom of what in reality is an insulated closed box. In this case the lower shelf could be the hottest - an electric oven might have two or more heating elements though a basic (budget) oven could have only a single element at the top so it can double as a grill and clearly the top shelf would be somewhat hotter...
A gas oven has the flame at the bottom to the rear of the box and it must be vented and so within the cabinet there are temperature variations in spite of the internal convection currents and these are broadly hottest at the top and coolest at the bottom and in addition there is likely to be variations between the farthest reaches and the door.

Most ovens, unless they have an electric igniter (does it go tick tick tick when plugged in and turned on? If so, it has an electic ignition.) have a pilot light. In order to keep gas from flowing out, and to prevent a possible explosion when the pilot light has gotten put out, they have an electric thermocouple on them that shuts off the gas when it gets cold. Plug the cord back in, and relight your pilot light by holding the lighter (I recommend a fireplace match or bbq lighter, not a cigarette lighter to prevent singed knuckle hairs!) over the thermocouple for a couple of minutes.
SOURCE: oven racks
Hello bargarmar
Welcome
You said, Your Jen-Air stove's oven racks keep falling after the heats been on.
This is scary and unsafe. Your gas range is only 2 years old.
This may be caused by the racks being left inside the range when using the self cleaning system. Which can cause the racks to become warped and or discolored.
If they are warped they may not sit even in the oven while baking and also move or change their shape
form the heat every time you use the warped racks in the oven.
If you leave the oven light on before you start the oven and watch the racks as they warm up with weight on them you will see if this is the case.
Then you will want to replace them.
Let me know what happens.

SOURCE: oven won't work on gas with electric ignition stove
The glow bar for the bake burner is bad, needs to be replaced. Remove oven bottom to get to it, and also the utility drawer.

you will need to replace the control board that contains the clock readout, any power surges ruins these electronics instantly, this can be replaced by removing the rear cover on the back of the unit and remove screws securing the electronic module
SOURCE: Gas stove with electric ignition (oven stopped working)
the electric ignition is bad and needs replaced in oven. I had the same problem a few months ago and it was the ignitor for the oven. if replacing it yourself, be very careful with ignitor, it is very fragil. do not touch ignitor itself, hold on to it by the base of it. they are not that hard to change.
