With the watch on your wrist, check to see how many links need to be removed from your watch. Your watch should fit comfortably on your wrist. Remove the extra links with your paper clip or push pin.To remove the links from your watch, press on the small pins with your tool that are holding the links in place. The watch band should now separate allowing the pin to become free, and you can now remove the pins first and then the links one at a time until you have removed the desired amount of links. Reattach the watch band when you are done removing the links. To reattach the watch band to your watch, simply fit the end links into each other. To complete the resizing, use your push pin to re-insert a joining pin.
you will have to purchase a new band since you cannot fix the plastic. If under warranty it might be replaced by Cartier , I am not 100 percent sure on their band replacements for plastic bands.
mcdevito75 here, Ebay is your best bet. They have a large selection of wrist bands for all watches. Or, you can visit a small watch repair shop in your area for a new band.
I am sorry but u are going to need to replace the watch band, the jeweler is correct, did he suggest the correct replacement band, he should have a selection of bands that will work with this watch.
There are small holes at the side of some of the links. You need to push out the small needles or pins in these holes in the direction of the arrows that are marked on the links.
You can use a sewing needle to do that (a blunt one, or break the tip).
When the small pins are pushed out, the links can be detached.
Hope that helps
Cheers Critter

The easiest is to bring it to Wal-Mart, or another store with a watch section in their store, if you buy a new wrist band, they;ll put it on for free. If you're feeling DIY, pull the watch band to the side, untill the metal bar inside is ejected form the slot in the watch, from there, insert the new band's bar into the slot, and voila!
