SOURCE: i cant install hp laser jet 1018 on this board
Hi h_kanani1366,
It doesn't sound like your problem is with the printer, it sounds like your problem is with the USB drivers for the motherboard. Look in Control Panel and click on System, then click on the Tab that's says Hardware, From there click on Hardware Devices, and when it opens look down on the Systems configuration area and look for a ! in a triangle. If you find one then the problem is the driver. You'll need to go to the manufacturer's site for that Motherboard and download a new USB controller driver, or sometimes there call Chipsets drivers. And that should fix your USB port, if the drivers aren't the problem, then could have a faulty motherboard. Try putting something else that you knows works into that same USB port to see if you get the same response. That will let you know if it's the motherboard, or it could be the Printer or the Cable that your using to connect to.
That's it my friend, there can be no other reasons I can think of.
Good Luck, and don't forget to leave a rating based on my solution.
Thanks Mark

Open the cover and remove the toner cartridge, check to see if there is any paper or bits of paper along the path (check on the back as well).
If you install a cartridge that has previously been installed you will get this warning message. Once you press OK you should be able to print normally. This message is to ensure you do not put the old cartridge in by mistake (yes it happens), or someone does not try to sell you a used cartridge as new.

Clean all of the rubber feeders with alcohol/rubber restorer in the paper path of printer.
Testimonial: "I will give that a try. Thank you."

Is the paper stopping just at the cartridge or is it in the fuser. We have had a few of these fail with bad fusers. The only time we have had a cartridge issue is if the drive shaft on the right side of the cartridge falls off.
Testimonial: "It looks like it stops right at the place where it would enter the cartridge. About a half inch of it sticks out from under the metal flap underneath where the cartridge sits."
