Following up my comment from yesterday, I took the machine apart and discovered that the black rubber cover on the valve that releases the cold water had perished and cracked, and wasn't opening properly.
I tested the hot and cold solenoids and everything checked out ok. Was just the cold valve sticking.
The wash cycle was working because I was using hot/warm water. As the rinse cycle needs cold water to get started, it was not working and the rinse and spin cycles wouldn't complete.
I have swapped the valves over for now (put the working hot one on the cold side and am using cold water only). It's working while I order a replacement...

Here's a solution I've gotten from one of the experts..

"Clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is normally behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!"

Hope this helps.. Good luck! :)

Hisense top loader WTCT802 8kg washing machine,

This could be down to a number of reasons. The most common of which is a displaced or faulty spin switch. This switch tell the machine that the lid is closed (or that the top is on a front loader). I know this may sound silly, but if you have a spin speed selector, double check to see that it's not been set to "0".
If neither of those work/fit the problem, and also if it is showing any error codes, eg. F01/F02/UNB, please let me know

My top loader Hisense washing machine doesn't wash but it spins, what is the possible solution?

If your Hisense top-loading washing machine is not washing but can spin out the water, it could be caused by a few different issues. Here are a few things you can try to fix the problem:
  1. Check to ensure that the washing machine is properly loaded and balanced. An unbalanced load can cause the machine to stop working or not wash properly.
  2. Check the water supply to the machine. Make sure that the water hoses are properly connected and that the water supply is turned on.
  3. Check the detergent dispenser to make sure that it is not clogged. A clogged dispenser can prevent the detergent from being dispensed and the machine from washing properly.
  4. Check the lid switch. If the lid switch is faulty, the machine may not wash but will spin out the water.
  5. Check the water level switch. If the water level switch is faulty, the machine may not wash properly but will spin out the water.
  6. If the problem persists, consider contacting Hisense customer service or a technician for further assistance.
It's essential to note that if the machine is not washing but it can spin out the water, it could be caused by a malfunction or damage in the water level switch, the timer or even the motor.

Water does not get in through the top inlets. I manually passed a hose into the washing bowl & have been working well since 2019, until recently where it does not wash.

Hisense 16kg top loader. My washing machine is not washing but it spins and rinses.

Does it let water into the machine for the rinses?

Did you try removing the wall plug for 10 minutes to reset it?

It sounds like a control board issue or the wires that connect to it.

My Hisense 16kg top loader does not want to spin after washing /rinse cycle, I have checked the lid switch, clogging in pipes, any suggestions?

The tub has to drain before it can spin. It is likely that either the cycle timer is defective or the pump is not operating.
