SOURCE: Echo cs-341 stalls out when cutting sideways

Make sure the fuel filter is indeed attached to the fuel line in the tank and pushed down to the bottom of the tank.

SOURCE: Yes I have a echo CS-3450 type 1-E and have to

Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Make sure the muffler is not plugged. If the jet screws have slot heads, turn the H jet screw CCW somewhat until the engine 4-strokes at speed, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. If the engine lags behind the throttle when accelerating, turn the L jet screw CCW about 1/8 to 1/4 turn. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: I have an Echo CS-3450

the trigger is connected to the carb with a linkage rod. it has probably come off. usually you will need to disassemble the saw to get to it. not a easy job. some times best to take it to a shop

SOURCE: I have an Echo CS-3450 16" Chain saw that starts

This is classic fuel starvation, it needs to run a little rich when free running, when it goes under load it needs the extra fuel to keep it going, if you have replaced the fuel filter, and the fuel hoses are good ( no leaks, or cracks in the pipe, give the pipe a tug to see if fuel squirts out ) then there is dirt in the main fuel screen under the pump diaphram, remove the carb, remove the alloy pump cover, normally held with a single screw, under here will be a gasket, and a pump diaphram, in that order, pressed into the carb is a very fine screen, this should be replaced, or at least cleaned, check the condition of the diaphram, this should be supple not hardened, rebuild and try again, the H screw on the side of the carb controls fuel to the main jet, if need be increase ( screw out ) 1/4 turn.Somewhere from the tank will be a breather, this allows air into the tank to stop a vacume occuring, to check this slacken the filer cap when the machine starts to die, if it picks up again it is a breather issue.

My Echo CS 3400 chain saw has an air vent problem

Most handheld power tools have a tank vent that will hold some pressure, Don't quote me. But If I turn the saw sideways and the vent allowed fuel to drain out THIS WOULD CREATE A FIRE HAZARD. If the fuel is boiling when you open the fuel cap could this be a engine temperature problem? or low octane fuel.

Echo cs-3400 wont start . no spark. what are the primary and secondary coil readings?

if you have no spark

check for faulty plug 1st, then pull kill wire off at kill switch, then check for grounding ht lead ,
then pull kill wire off at armature , if still no spark most likley faulty ignition armature
i suspect the part number you need if its type 1 is 15662639130
replace it and set air gap and reassemble and test

here is web site for parts
