I have a Husqvarna 435 that will not start. I have replaced all fuel lines, carburetor, primer bulb and spark plug. Primer bulb was hard to push. After pushing it hard gas came out under the saw on the right hand side and started working. The saw still will not run. I can get it to start a few seconds is all. I can push the primer bulb until gas comes out the carburetor. After try to start it will hit for a couple 2. Then I take the spark plug out and it has hardly any gas on it. Could this be the intake boot or the gas tank vent?

The thing to remember here is the bulb is a purge, not a primer, so it pulls fuel from the carb, into the bulb and pushes it back to the tank, so if you have the pipes round the wrong way you will have problems, there are two pipes on the back of the bulb, a long connection which is the pressure side, so this is connected to the pipe going to the r/h side of the fuel , the short connection on the bulb is the suction side, so this connects to the carb, make sure they are connected up correctly, the tank vents a very reliable and give few problems, let us know how you get on.

SOURCE: weed eater starts but dies under high idle

The gas used to be primed right on the ground so the EPA regulations made them put it back in the tank.
so primer side in tank enough to be a dumping point.
Probably will have to remove and check carb. rubber components for pliable and clean all the orifices you see.
if its bad dismantle carb. completely and put in a carb. cleaner solution and let it sit for awhile

Hello,

Yes you have the lines crossed, This is an easy fix.

The Line with the filter goes to the primer, and the line coming from the primer to the brass upper fitting on the carburetor, then the lower plastic fitting goes back to the tank.

Hope this helps

SOURCE: my craftsman gas blower model

If you have not done so I would check all fuel lines for smallholes or cracks and make sure all connections are good. It sounds to me like you are getting air in your fuel lines.
Have you tried to start it by adding a small amount of gas directly into carburator? Good luck and thank you.

MY HOMELITE RANGER CHAINSAW UT10532 PRIMER BULB NOW AL OF A SUDDEN PUSHES IN BUT DOES NOT COME OUT NOW---REPLACED PRIMER BULB--STILL DOES THE SAME THING

If hadn't changed the fuel lines prior to this problem it is probably the internal filter screen in the carburetor plugged or the tank's fuel filter.
If you had replaced the fuel lines then it is probably the plumbing of the fuel lines. The primer is suppose to suck through the carburetor and return the excess fuel back to the fuel tank. It fuel system plumbed backwards, which can be done several ways, the carburetor internal check valve will prevent proper operation of both itself and the primer.

Saw won't start after cutting out spark plug is dry whats the best way to find the problem??

Pour a little fuel mix in the plug hole and try for start--it should pop a few times. If it does, then you have fuel delivery problems. Check the fuel filter, air cleaner and muffler for plugging. Check all fuel lines for decay or other damage. Make sure the primer bulb fills with fuel when pumped several times. If it doesn't, either the primer is defective or the carburetor is plugged. If you think the carburetor is in trouble, go to: www.drystacked.com for a 12 page article on Walbro brand carburetor theory and troubleshooting. This information applies in general to other brands as well. Hope this helps!

Your seeing the problem. Air in the fuel lines usually caused by a cracked fuel line or a pin hole in the primer bulb. Until you can stop the air bubbles by either replacing the actual primer bulb or fuel lines your always going to have the hard to start problem. This can also cause the engine to run lean at high RPM settings and eventually burn a hole in the piston. You should repair the fuel problem ASAP. If you do not find any fuel line / primer bulb problems then it is time to start looking at the carb diaphram.

My Husqvarna 128LD primer bulb will not fill with gas

The primer bulb does not have to be full of fuel for the carburetor and trimmer to operate correctly. The actual function of the purge/primer bulb is to help pull fresh fuel into the carburetor while at the same time, push old fuel/air out of the carb and back to the fuel tank. You may have bad check valves in the primer base assembly but, the machine can even operate if the bulb is only even 1/2 full or so...Make sure the fuel is moving in only one direction during and after the bulb is pushed and released. If it's not....bad check valves. These valves are very small and fragile and easily damaged by strong solvents, high PSI compressed air...and carburetor bath type cleaners. You didn't state whether the machine will start, run, what have you. Repost if needed. Please vote on this solution.

Wont start put new plug and new gas.

Did you check for blue, snappy spark at the plug (gapped at 0.020") when you replaced it? If ok, put some fuel mix into the plug hole and try for start--it should pop several times. If ok, check the fuel filter, air filter, and muffler for plugging. Check the fuel lines for any decay or other damage. Make sure the carburetor fasteners are tight. Does the primer bulb pull fuel into itself after several pumps? If nothing, remove the fuel line from the carburetor that has the filter inside the tank and place it on the primer port that has the line coming from the carburetor. Try to pump fuel again--if successful, then remove the carburetor from the engine and clean it inside and out with spray carburetor cleaner. Check the lower chamber diaphragm for flexibility and no cracks or holes. There is also a small mid-body filter that can easily plug with stale fuel mix. Hope some of this helps!

Check the muffler for plugging of the arrestor screen. If no help, check the carburetor for a hardened diaphragm or any plugging. Are you getting fuel into the primer bulb when pumped several times? Make sure the primer is pulling fuel from the carburetor by removing the line that goes back to the fuel tank and place a small cup or can under the primer port that the hose came off of. Pump the primer several times--it should push fuel out each time. If not, place the carburetor line on the other port and repeat the process. The pump must pull fuel FROM the carburetor to properly prime it. Barring a blown crankshaft seal, the engine should start. Hope this helps!
