Computer switch can start the board up but cannot shut it down and no beep sounds are present. This is an G31-M7-TE motherboard.

Disconnect floppy, cd rom, and other peripherals from computer. Just leave the hard drive , memory and monitor plugged in. Attempt to boot. If the unit does so then one of the peripherals that you disconnected is responsible. If the machine still just shuts down, replace power supply with known good one. If that does not do it then, unfortunately, you have a motherboard issue.

You can't do that, the pci-e disables the onboard video chip. Connect both monitors to the pci-e video card.

I am TJ from singapore and i brought a Biostar G31-M7 TE motherboard few week ago. My PC speaker do not have any sound even i install sound driver so i want to know weather the motherboard has any built-in sound card. If you know how to solve it please help [email protected]

One long beep means that something is wrong with the memory. Try using another one.

try getting a cd rom audio cable plug it in the back of the cd player and plug the other end into the motherboard
