By the description sounds like the trigger itself is the problem, have you try to bypass (bridge) the connection (disconnect the gun's plug from the machine and use a clip to bypass it at the machine's end) and see if the problem persists?

I always tell my customers that the best machine for a body shop is a millermatic 212 if you have 220V available if not, go to a Millermatic 211 this is one is a dual voltage unit 110V/220V. if you can afford it buy a spool gun SG100 for all aluminum parts, the machine will cost you 999.00 and the spool gun 215.00.
