Time to replace the icemaker. Fairly easy to do. Amazon carries a number of replacements depending on model.

SOURCE: Ice maker is freezing up

The solenoid valve can leak slightly to make your problem. To check it, undo the tube from the solenoid to the freezer with the solenoid unplugged, and the water pressure on. Any leakage is bad, replace it.

check 2 things. Make sure the fill tube is going downwards to the cup inside. The second thing is when the valve shuts off make sure it closes right away. If it doesnt then replace the valve.

Ice maker waterline frozen

Occasionally these freeze up on many brands. Usually if the ice maker is not used much. There is a rubber tube that deposits water into the ice maker unit, Thaw it by warming it with your fingers. You can carefully use a hair dryer as well

The water filling the ice maker freezes in the filling tube.

You can thaw the frozen water with a hair dryer but to stop this from happening the water control valve may be the reason for this to happen. When the ice maker calls for water to refill it is timed. If the water control valve located on the rear of your refrigerator is not closing all the way for the ice maker side it causes the water to freeze in the tube because it slowly flow to the ice make just enough to seal the fill tube.

Kitchenaid ice maker dripping and freezing down freezer shelfs

Tube sometimes freezes because of minerals in it hold one droplet at a time until buildup freezes solid. Replace tube first. Water valve allowing some droplets through can also cause this. Tube first-less expensive.

Ice maker isn't filling with water. Water is on and ice maker is on. It's been humid.

Likely that the water supply tube to the icemaker is frozen. It will be a white rubber tube on the right side of the icemaker. Warm it with a hair dryer, remove it from its aluminum tubing, and make sure there is no ice all the way back to where the supply tube comes from the water valve. After thawing, your icemaker should start working again.

Now..... why did it freeze? Most likely, there is a restricted airflow to the back of the unit, which is need to keep that aluminum supply tube just warm enough to assure all the water flow OUT of it into the icemaker, and doesn't freeze up on contact. Make sure your coils and the airspace under the fridge are completely clean (vacuuum them well) and it should cure the problem.
