Was there no software supplied with the camera for this very purpose ? If, not, try to obtain one from the original vendor, or failing that from Vivitar themselves.
first you should try and charge it. If that does not work you should try taking out the battery and cleaning the spot on the battery and camera where the two connect with a dry Qtip. Sometimes residue can accur and this process usually helps. If all else fails you should contact the manufacturer and see what they can do. It is best to call, in order to get there number you should visit www.vivitar.com
This is a Manufacturing problem. A lot of Vivitar cameras have this problem as well as many others that are usually not the consumers fault. Just a glitch in the technology. I alone have gone through four Vivitar cameras in the last six months. The best thing to do is contact Vivitar directly. This is there website: www.vivitar.comIt is best to see if you can find the number for technical support. To see if they can give you a refund or replace it for you. I hope this helps. -Richard
