Turn off icemaker. Remove ice bin, empty it, rinse with warm water and leave to dry overnight. If this did not help - check solenoid in the freezer behind the ice bin, make sure it's not stuck and has continuity. If all checked out ok, but still no cubed ice - control board or interface board may need replacement, and you'll need a professional to diagnose that.
If the dispensor light switches to cubed or crushed , the panel is good . Remove the ice bin , and hold the light switch in . Press the arm for CRUSHED ice , and if you hear a buzzing or hum , then the auger motor is frozen . Use a hair dryer directly on the " forks " for a while , ocasionally holding switch and activating arm , until the forks move . Lower the freezer temp slightly and reinstall the ice bin .
Make sure that your ice tray is properly instaled. There is a rod that must go into a hole. When you select ice cubes rather than crushed ice a solenoid raises which moves that rod. It then opens a flap so the cubes can bypass the crusher. Either your rod is not in the hole correctly or the solenoid has gone bad. The rod that I am speaking of runs along the underside of the ice tray. It has a spring on the rear end that holds the bypass flpa closed.
try taking off the dispenser front and check the "switch " controlling water /ice. its a micro switch your connecting with as you change from one to the other{ice to water) im assuming that the switch is not being activated. plungers get stuck switch gets old
