The power supply board is L5L01F / COV33697901. When the tv gets plugged in, the power light just blinks red 3 times. If it gets fully discharged first, the screen flashes on for a second just long enough to see the LG symbol pop up and then shuts off and the power light blinks 3 times. I didn't notice any leaking/bloating on the board. I tried disconnecting the main board and powering it on but the LEDs don't come on at all. I've repaired electronics in the past by swapping out bad parts but this is my first time attempting work on a circuit board. I just got my first digital multi-meter yesterday. Assuming I'm using it correctly, the voltage to the main board is ~3v low supposed to be 13.5v according to the power supply board and also, one of the -led prongs reads lower than the other 2 led2- reads lower than led1- and led3- but I don't know what the voltage is supposed to read.

The probleis with one of the maina boards and trouble shooting would have to be done to see which board is bad.

I would initially suspect IC7001 and/or IC7002 on the D board. Those are your convergence output IC's. Those tend to fail after 5-10 years of typical use. Part# STK392-150 is available as a direct drop-in replacement part and repeat failures are almost unheard of. Also, check the low-ohm feedback resistors around these chips. R7011, 7012, 7013, 7014, 7015 and R7016 should all be 2.2 ohms @ 2 watts. If you have a shop do this, the typical price including travel and house call is $300-400. Parts alone are about $50, give or take.

The main board is faulty. This is the common problem to most of the dynex TVs. As you know there is no repair to this board. Replace it as card basis is the only remedy to this fault.
Replace this board, rather than making surgery to it and wasting your precious time and money. The cost of the board come around $95. OK.
