You need the pins that fit the timer model you have. What is the make and model number of your timer?

In the mean time just plug in a lamp and manually turn it on/off.

I found replacement parts at westbend.com, which has now taken over back to basics products. You can also download the owners manual by clicking on the TEM500 and has a download for the owners manual. Hopefully this helps

Kentucky fried chicken

Real chicken. Typically they're 2-year-old laying hens that have spent the last 18 months in windowless egg factories that use 8-hour day+night lighting cycles to force them to lay 3 times/day. The only routers usually employed are the conveyor belts that transport the eggs to the sorting room, though.

Which is evolved first, egg or hen..?

If, as your question indicates, you believe in evolution, the egg came first. Aminals living in the sea (fish, invertabrates, etc.) were laying eggs long before land animals, including birds, evloved. Also, reptiles were laying eggs on land long before the avian species came into being.

Hello my name is molly, i have a female quaker parrot named murial. she has been acting very aggersive ever since i have come home today . she has not been alone today but is vey angery. she is guarding...

Hi Molly,

FixYa is actually more of a product-support site than a pet-support site. To receive the most informed answers about Murial, you should probably seek out a site more geared towards birds.

That said, I have owned many parrots, and what Murial is doing definitely sounds like she's getting ready to lay eggs. Even if you don't have a male, Murial could very well lay unfertilized eggs. When female birds get ready to lay, they seek out a safe spot and start behaving very aggressively towards anyone who disturbs them. If she continues behaving this way and does not lay eggs, definitely seek help and look out for symptoms of egg binding.

If she does lay eggs, this behavior will continue. Eventually, she should abandon the unhatched eggs and return to normal behavior. If she doesn't, you will have to remove them to try and break the behavior (and get rid of a potentially stinky problem). She may lay again. Worst comes to worst, you can purchase fake eggs to replace the real ones with (sold online and at some bird stores).

For now, just make sure she has food and water, and isn't stressed out. It's also normal for birds in this state to have unusually large droppings (the result of holding them in for longer while sitting on the eggs or in their nest area). You may want to indulge her with some nesting material (or just a newspaper to shred).

Best of luck!

There is a silver pin that fits into the periphery of the timer. I think this trips the smaller dial to rotate. If the sprinkler is set to go off at 4am, where should I place this silver pin for it to...

You have Intermatic sprinkler timer.
The silver pin inserts into the yellow dial at 12:00 midnight, and it rotates the skipper wheel.
Skipper wheel is necessary only if you want to skip certain days of the week, otherwise the timer cycle repeats each 24-hour period.
To skip a day, the skipper pin is pushed down for that day. Leave skipper pin up for days you want to water.

I need replacement clips to a hb31r timer, were can i find them?

I have 2 links to plastic Intermatic trippers.
I search timers each day, and have not run across a different plastic Intermatic tripper.
images on page will let you compare with your tripper:

If this tripper is correct, add a comment and help fixya community give this information to others asking same question.

If this tripper is incorrect, then HB31 tripper may not be available.
Large number of timers do not have replacement trippers.

You can also take advantage of fixya phone support.

Can't seem to figure it out. Directions are not specific enough. We set "the time now", but the white/AM, dark/PM is weird. Please help w/ directions. We need the light for chicken house. Light on 5:00 AM...

What kind of Woods timer do you have?

Is the dial turning? The dial is the clock. And the clock needs electricity to work, just like alarm clock. If dial is not turning, the wiring is not right.

Does the manual override turn on the lights? Maybe the slider switch set to OFF? Set slider to "Timer" for timer functions to work.

Wall timer:
If you have 59017 wall timer, it has dark PM white AM. You rotate dial until correct time lines up with little triangle located on right side of center knob.
7e3b45a.jpg

There are 48 plastic pins on dial ... when pins are moved out, the lights are off. For timer functions, set slide switch to 'Timer'
Correct wiring is needed for timer to work:
Timer black attaches to Hot wire from breaker box
Timer red attaches to wire going to Load (lights)
Timer white must attach to white Neutral (or if your box has no neutral, connect white to bare ground)
Timer green connects to bare ground

If wiring seems right but dial on front of timer is still not rotating, then reverse Timer red and Timer black and see if that sorts out problem.

If this is wrong Woods timer, please re-post question.
