SOURCE: how to replace the chuck on a hilti te10

The complete chuck is not easily replaced. It you stick an SDS+ bit in the chuck and it seems to fit tight without much wiggle then the chuck can be replaced without taking the tool apart. The rubber cap on the end will just pull off. Next the locking collar with the annular spring will come off with the out side sleeve. Underneath is the guide tube with two enlongated rollers. The locking collar should have a ball bearing underneath it that locks the sleeve in place. Usually the roller bearings or ball bearing are missing.

It is more than likely the connections between the battery and the drill or the battery itself. If you look at the leads on the drill there are two large connections that can get bent along with smaller curved connection. If these connectors get bent It is hard to maintain a connection to the battery.

The 10A has not been sold in several years. I assume your batteries are old as well. Hilti has made great improvements over the years to their batterie tools. They still produce 36V hammer drills but now they are Lithium Ion batteries.

SOURCE: how can i find replacment

If you cannot get other brushes that fit the Hilti brush holders exactly, buy a set of brushes with similar pigtails and springs, if the brushes have these, but a bit larger on the sides. Carefully sand these down on find abrasive paper and on a flat surface till they slide snugly in the Hilti brush holders. Be careful, the carbon abrades very quickly and it is easy to take off too much carbon in just one or two rubs.

Try any tool retailer, parts for the TE10 haven't been made for a while. You should find that one of the side handles for current machines will fit.

I need a rebuild kit for a Hilti SN114B staple gun. Any idea where I might get one?

Yea, just called Hilti and they no longer make a kit for it. Hilti said you'd have to go a gasket and o ring shop to purchase similar parts individually. they quit making them in 1996
