Delete the printer from your control panel device list. Unplug the USB power cord from your printer. Wait 10 seconds and plug back in. Turn printer power on and windows should install a new driver.
First check that the new cartridge and make certain you have removed any seals or anything that shouldn't be attached when it's installed.
Next check that it's a genuine cartridge, there are lots of fakes out there and most will not work.

After looking all over in regards to this issue..the answer is simple...duct tape..seriously..which is hilarious to me considering i'm from the north and west coast and had recently moved to the south...simply tape the 2 components on the on the left had side of a refilled cartridge and reinsert..the printer will complain about no cartridge being there but will print with a refill fine...it'll work i promise..on a further note being a pc tech ..I've NEVER suggested dell to ANY of my customers..looking more into this matter..the aio series are rebranded lexmarks missing components of a true printer..like a "winmodem" that lacks real hardware in place of using part of the windows kernel..the worst of it these are cheaply manufactured printers..the printer cartridge scam chips inside the printers themselves were definately harder to make then the printers themselves..hope this helps and oh yeah ...
DON'T BUY DELL.... EVER
