The power button did not functioning, and all are black out, tlthe whole pannel including the digital button are black out. Its not working.

Hello, well that sounds a fuse problem, you can try check inside, be shore you unplug the power socket before you do it, if the inside fuse is ok ,so the control board is damage and needs to be replaced, and don't think it worth .

Hi tim_amstisia, your E8700 may be defective control sw pannel.
Send to Nikon service to fix.

I had the same problem but it wouldn't converge on the whole right side of the screen. I fixed my problem by taking off the speaker cover, removing the 3 allen 7/64" screws from the front of the bottom of the button pannel, then removing the 4 scew from the back of the pannel (2 on each side), and the button pannel should drop down. With the power on I cleaned the 3 projection lenses with many qtips dipped in alcohol. I left the TV on so I could see if there was any streaking on the lenses (streaking means it is still dirty). Once they were all clean and I put the button pannel back on, I went to the menu and ran the autoconvergence function. Now my picture is so clean. Good Luck.

then best idea is buy new tv

all the buttons are connected to 1 control touch pad board.so only two faulty buttons cannot be replaced.whole touch pad of buttons pannel has to be replaced.the cost of the whole pannel will be near to $45 plus service tax.
but as you mentioned its just six months old.contact the dealer as it must be under warranty.if the problem of buttons is considered under warranty you will get the replacement unit or may be the company will get the touch pad replaced for free.

can have some defective solder in the power supply.

hello . ok first try disconecting the nave unit on the trunk if the radio comes up and the buttons work you have a bad nave unit (very common ) . other option look for radio fuse in glove box top open white tabs on top diconect the fuse and reconnect to see if it will restart the radio pannel if not replace the radio pannel .
