A small amount of water is leaking out of the front of the refrigerator onto the floor every day and I can not fine the source of the water. Is there a drain pan and if so where is it? If it is not the drain pan what else could it be. I keep it cleaned out underneath and clean the coils. The water seems to be coming from above the grill dripping onto the floor.

Older fridges drained water into a pan with the compressor in it, thus cooling the compressor and evaporating the water, this is located at the bottom back of the fridge. if this fridge has a water and/or ice dispensor, the water could be leaking from many a place.

Testimonial: "Thanks, I will check it out and see if I can find the pan. Have had trouble with the ice maker leaking before but this seemed different."

I HAVE A MAYTAG AUTOMATIC ELECTRONIC DEFROST CONTROL REFRIGATOR MODEL MSD2272VEB00. EVERY FEW DAYS WATER LEAKED FROM UNDER THE REFRIGERATOR ONTO THE FLOOR FROM WHAT APPEARS TO BE AT THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE...

Mostly the drip-pan can't be accessed from the front.

The drip-pan isn't.
It is in fact an evaporator. It collects the considerable amount of water from the auto defrost function and holds it until the heat from the motor and compressor can evaporate it. The water is transferred from the inside by a drain tube.

A blocked drain tube is not unusual and is generally fairly simple to clear. Often it is a stray vegetable that causes the trouble and sometimes it is a buildup of ice. If the water cannot escape a wet floor is usually the result.

Our fridge recently suffered from the same trouble. I used a plastic covered wire coat hanger to clear the drain of ice - very carefully...

Model # GSH22VGPC CC water leak

Evaporator condensate should go to pan for evaporation. If the amount exceeds pan capacity during defrost cycle it could overflow to the floor.

Water leaking from freezer

Check for a blocked defrost drain. Take the panel off at the back of the freezer section and find the small hole at the very bottom center below the cooling coils. Use hot (but not boiling) water and a turkey baster to flush it out until water runs through it. (it will go into the defrost drain pan, where it will evaporate)
This will prevent water from comming out the freezer door and leaking onto your floor and running down your copper pipe to the basement.

Samsung Fridge Freezer leaking water

hi August.
Cause: A blocked defrost drain is one of the most common causes of water leakage. This happens when food particles or other debris clogs up the drain hose, which can lead to ice buildup and, eventually, water leaking out of the freezer and refrigerator.
3 common refrigerator problems you can easily fix yourself

The freezer drain hose will drain the defrost water into a drip pan at the bottom of the freezer. When this pan becomes full, it will leak water onto the floor. This is a regular maintenance task whenever the freezer defrosts. Empty the drip pan during the defrost cycle.
How to Fix Water Leaking From the Bottom of Freezer

Why is my fridge leaking water on the floor? If the refrigerator is leaking water it's possible that the refrigerator has a clogged or freezing defrost drain. If the defrost drain freezes the defrost water will overflow the drain and drip down to the bottom of the compartment, If enough water accumulates in the bottom it can run out onto the floor.

Refrigerator leaking water out

being in the uk, i don't know this appliance specifically so take this as guidence. there are two places where water can come from. at the rear of the fridge there should be a gully at the bottom of the evaporator wall - the part that frosts up. in the middle of this gully is a drain and this is likely blocked. push something flexible down it and check blockage is cleared by pouring a small amount of water in the gully and see it flows freely away. good idea to occasionly pour a small amount of dilute bleach down it now and again to keep it sweet. the other place for water to come from is if some of the contents of the fridge are touching the back wall. when it defrosts the water tends to divert onto the shelves
