If your Xtreme Power US 2200W jackhammer is not working and not making any sound, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try before determining if it is beyond repair:
Check the power source: Ensure that the jackhammer is properly connected to a power outlet and that the outlet is functioning correctly. You can test the outlet with another device to confirm if it's supplying power.
Inspect the power cord: Examine the power cord for any visible signs of damage, such as cuts, fraying, or exposed wires. If you notice any issues, it's important to replace the power cord or have it repaired by a professional.
Verify the power switch: Make sure the power switch on the jackhammer is in the "On" position. Sometimes, the switch may get stuck or be in an intermediate position, preventing the tool from turning on.
Check the circuit breaker: If the jackhammer is plugged into an electrical circuit with a circuit breaker, verify that the breaker hasn't tripped. If it has, reset the breaker and try again.
Examine the carbon brushes: Jackhammers typically have carbon brushes that make contact with the motor to enable operation. Over time, these brushes can wear out and require replacement. Open the jackhammer and inspect the carbon brushes for wear or damage. If they appear worn down or damaged, they may need to be replaced.
Seek professional assistance: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's recommended to seek assistance from a qualified technician or contact Xtreme
Striker pin problem / broken connecting rod OR 1 o-ring 1 610 210 195 pos 165 thats become soft and not round anymore that will lock the striker in the sleeve when the lubrication gets older
The most caused suggestions but a cylindrical gear thats broken is rare
Most common cause is the capacitor. The top where the wires plug on should be flat. A lightening strike or other power surge will zap it and cause the top to puff up.
The problem was caused by you trying to run a 2OHM load on an amplifier which is designed to run only on 4OHM when it is bridged, the amplifier is most definatley cooked. An authorized MTX technician should take a look at it, to determine just how wide spread the damage is.

if it is an electric jack hammer the brushes in the motor maybe worn out. most ace hardware stores have a good selection of motor brushes. also check to see if the brush retension screw came loose this would also cause the same problem.
# Balance the load # Level the machine # Inspect the water pump for a blockage # Inspect the coupling # Inspect the transmission # Adjust the drive belt tension # Check the motor bearings # Check the drum brakes
the motor ground is controlled by a solid state control module called the GEM (Generic lectronic Module), it is most likey burned out by the voltage surge of the strike, it is behind the radio, about 2" square and black plastic case
