SOURCE: Washer Leaks from Detergent Compartment
Two things might be wrong with this unit. One problem is there is a blockage inside the hose that sends water into drum. Make sure that's clear. The other problem is the dispenser assembly may have a leaking problem and will spray water at an angle that will cause it to leak through the dispenser drawer. My recommendation is to have the dispenser assembly inspected and possibly replaced.

The water dispenser compartment is connected to a hose. Disconnect the hose where it attaches to the tub. You will find a gray mushroom valve, remove this completely or you can just cut back the rubber that covers the stem halve way. What is happening is the valve is getting stuck in the up postion, and causing the water to poor out the front. You should also be running a hot wash every so often to clean out the unit.
Right hand side wall in the freezer - take a look- any frozen water or moisture? Need check a drain line, usually defrost heater inside the freezer wall getting bad and draining water just freezing inside of it.

check for clog or kink in dryer vent
SOURCE: need to know how to clean lint trap and where is
The only trap on a Kenmore Elite HE3 is in the drain pump. The following link explains how to access and clean it out:

Read through the link provided and let me know if you have any questions. I personally own one of these washers and have repaired them many times. If you are experiencing drain problems, the problem will most commonly be attributed to the drain pump trap becoming clogged with debris. There's usually an error code associated with this problem of "F02". If you attempt to clean the drain pump and you discover the pump to be clear, check the drain lines (especially the line running from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the pump). If all these preliminary checks don't solve the problem, the manufacturer recommends replacing the drain pump.
If this is not what you were talking about, please post back and elaborate a bit more so I can understand the problem you are having. I hope this helps you.
