With the key in the off position the scooter emits a high frequency sound which over a few days drops the battery power, when switched on it stops. when turned on the battery registers power but the green led does not light and the scooter won't move. Sorry it wasn't the tiller board at I never touched the tiller board instead I checked the power to the green led as it's listed as power on when lit. I found that I had some of the same type of led's, so fitted one. Turning on the ignition the green replacement led lt up and the high frequency sound disappeared, the scooter then became mobile in forward and reverse, why it's original led failed I have no idea but it is it seems integral to the circuit and motion of the scooter.

Sound like the TV is in protection mode. This happens when a part goes bad inside. the TV turns OFF to protect the other parts from being damaged.
Most commonly it's a power supply related issue. A bad capacitor or transformer on the power supply board is to blame.
For a do-it-yourself fixer with electronic experience, a Service Manual is the best for trouble shooting the problem down to the bad part. Normally, you can find it over the internet for less than $20.

Hi. 8 flashes is a fault code for a motor fault. It will be either worn brushes in the motor or faulty connectors to the motor. This fault code means that there is no circuit through the motor. Probably time to overhaul the motor. Most mobility scooters have plugs and sockets that are really to small to carry the amount of current that they do. Because of this, they sometimes fail.Good luck. Neil.

Plamont unfortunately that flash code usually means a controller error. The controller is the brains of your scooter. Take the seat off and remove the rear shroud that covers the batteries and motor/gearbox assembly. Check all the wiring connectors for damage or loose connections. After checking the connectors turn the scooter on and see if you still get 8 flashes.
