Hi Chris. I had similar problem on a different saw. A few things to look at. The chain tightness should be fine because you made a few cuts. Your fuel can be contaminated (my problem). Empty out the fuel and clean out the tank and filter if installed. Use fresh gas (yes, in your gas can...make sure it is clean as well). Your carb could be contaminated if your fuel was contaminated. How is your chain oil? Plenty available? Also, check your air filter...could be obstructing your air flow. How old is the spark plug? Remember, they don't last long like the ones in your vehicle. I always replace mine annually...they just don't last. That is about the best I can do. If you still have problems after all of this, I would suggest a carb service...not that expensive and it would really clean out the ports. I hope this helps you Chris!

Thanks Don, think it would be a lot easier and quicker if I stuck it in for a service, even though I have not long bought it, if too pricey, then I will have to do a DIY, thx again, very helpful

SOURCE: The engine cuts out after it heats up

This seems to be a common issue as of late, i'd tighten up your idle adjustment so you can run at full throttle with no issue. The tiller's oil should be at the lower lip of the dip stick's access threading while the unit is laying face down (gas tank down). Clean up your carb as well and change your plug/filter, if this doesn't work than you're probably looking at some simple carb adjustments, but the fact it dies after 10 minutes of use makes me think it's running either dirty or too rich.

SOURCE: Briggs & Stratton Modle# 100000 will not stay started.

your engine is only running on the fuel you are pumping in, the carb. is not lifting the fuel on its own, maybe because of water in the bowl or dirty jets. You must take the bowl of and clean it out and depending on the type of carb. it might need a new diaphragm. Stephen.

Husqvarna 14" k760. Saw will not throttle down after cutting.

Test run without the blade so throttle response can be determined.

Saw starts, but why does it run few seconds then quit?

Has it enough compression ? because i have the experience it have a questionable closing system for carburetor air filter it is not always fully locked take care to close it replace parts if its not as soon as this problem is there or its to late , on the way it should but when it is not good closed it leaks in much cases and the piston had often grooves by polution from graveldust it can have lost compression by it first to do is control the piston.
In the event that all of this is not the subject the tank airiation and fuelhoses to control.

Why is throttle stuck wide open?

Could be a couple of things. could be a return spring sticking on the carb, or the throttle cable has frayed and sticking on. I've added the breakdown manual for you.

One question, im looking to buy a husqvarna k760 demo saw, i need to cut metal, such as truck and trailer frames. just need to cut them down to length so i can load and bring to scrap yard. i figure it...

The K760 black cutter blade is called a Cut-n-Break blade. The manufacturer states that it has an improved stable core to increase its performance. I have a friend who recycles scrap metal and uses the Mastercraft 5" dual cutter. It cuts through metal like butter without any kickback.

Hope this helps,

Chain bar in angle cut did not cut as sharp as vertical ???

I think you are saying your saw is cutting in an arch rather than straight through the log.My Pioneer 20" bar started that after many years of good service. I found and removed wire edge on the rear top rail and front bottom rail. A file at 45° removed them and it cuts true once again. HTH
