Drum brake/Clutch not released. Look for actuator under drum that pulls lever on drum assembly.

Hi own a Kenmore Type 111, Model 110.25652400, Serial # CS1013360 washing machine

Those parts are very common and cheap to buy. The problem is your model number isn’t correct. Leave out you serial number and re-check the model number. When dog agits go bad, the bottom half of the agitator should still work.

Kenmore agitates doenst spin

You will have to look at the inside of the washer when in spin cycle to see what is going on. Is the spinner motor not engaging the drum? Is the spinner working at all? It sounds like the spinner isn't being moved against the drum before the spin cycle starts. Most washers use a seperate spinner motor, which is lifted off the drum by a relay and / or solenoid and if one or more of those is malfunctioning, it will cause your described problem.

Wsm2700dawww dryer will spin laundry still wet

Possible that the speed is of the spin is not enough, check the belt , check for friction to the shaft in the washer.
finally check the drain valve /pump as if there is water logged on without flushing then the valve is clogged or dirty.

Washer is not agitating in whites and slowly in colors. What and how do we troubleshoot?

1) Verify a circuit breaker isn't tripped

2) Advance the timer control dial slowly 360 degrees-

If the washer starts spinning, then we know the motor and drive belt are fine but that there is something wrong with either the timer control dial or the agitator solenoid. Call in a professional for this.

If the washer doesn't budge, then verify that the drive belt(s) is attached and not broken by removing the back panel. If the belt is broken, replace it. If it is loose, then tighten it by loosening up the bolt holding the motor and moving it on its swingarm (much like a car alternator) until there is a 1/2 to 3/4 inch deflection in the belt.
Some washers use reversing motors. It's possible the motor works on the spin cycle but not on the wash cycle. If so, call a pro.

3) Visually inspect the lid safety switch- Is it loose or cracked? If so, the washer might work intermittently, stopping at different cycles.

4) Check motor and drive belt- Remove the main access panel (usually in the back). Is the motor spinning, but the drive belt isn't? If so, then you have a drive belt problem.

Kenmore 70 series 110.26732503: I had a drive block go bad and replaced. Now the machine wants to agitate during the start of the spin cycle (or the brake is some how engaging). Is there some timing issue...

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?pop=true&modelNumber=110.26732503

The first thing to check and make sure of is that the two tabs on top of the Drive Tube are fit into the correct slots in the Drive Block and that the "washer" that fits on top of the Drive Shaft (Two prongs) is mounted.

Replacing the Drive Block shouldn't affect any of the timing.

When we had to replace the Agitate Cams in the transmission on ours, we found that the agitator will turn when the washer goes into the spin cycle. This isn't hurting anything and apparently helps spin the fabric softener unit.

The brake only affects the tub and not the agitators.

It's possible that the Agitate Cams aren't raising the "Agitate Gear" fully above the Connecting Rack when the washer goes into drain and spin mode.

Following is the Whirlpool PDF on installation and maintenance of top load, direct drive washers. It has a very good explanation of how the transmission works when switching from agitate to spin.

It isn't too difficult to pull the cover off the transmission but it is a messy job.

Washer model PAVT244AWW agitation noise

Sounds like the motor is going bad. It will only get louder before it finally stops. There is a device that assists the agitation motion that may be bad or is going bad.
